Xtar 18700's for an UF-2100? Or what 18650's suits me best?

I have two lights (Sky Ray King + Jacob A60) on order along with some Xtar 18700’s and an Sysmax intellicharge i4 charger v2
I will also get a modded (by E1320) UF-2100 and I understand my 18700’s wont fit right?
So what is the smartest thing to buy considering I would like the new batteries I need to fit all lights?
Any advice?

do keepower 18650 3100mah fit? they are as well big ones

I’d just buy on quality and reviews, even more so if you plan to use them in multi battery lights.

HJK does some awesome battery tests and worth a read.

Personally I’ve got AW cells, EagleTac 3100 18650’s and Solarforce 18650’s. These all seem good to me.

On pay day I’m going to be ordering some of these: http://www.intl-outdoor.com/2-pcs-sanyo-ur18650fm-2600mah-protected-battery-p-516.html

They do 3100’s as well, but if I’m honest I have no need for the longest run times possible. 2600 mAh are perfectly fine.

EDIT:

BTW - I’ve recently bought some cheapy 14500’s. Never again. It was an experiment, but they confirm quality cells are well worth the money.

I was going to recommend those exact cells. I'm wavering on picking up a pair myself.

Thanks so far!
So the 18700’s will not fit?
Just want to be sure before I order anything else……

Does any one know for sure the 18700s will not fit? Then I have an excuse to buy some more batteries

I buy panasonic 2900mah’s off ebay…right around 15$ for the pair…unprotected though…

Which UF-2100 do you have? I had a couple of Dino's UniqueFire UF2100 with Xtar 2600 18700 in them, a bit tight on the lenght, but works well enough that I gifted the 2 sets I had, along with MP1 chargers fitted with the voltmeter display. To me, that was the perfect gift set. Don't know about the Ultrafire uf2100, Foy's pictures show they have different knurling patterns and tailcaps.

off topic: finally got my unprotected TFF 18650 from dino, just took them 75 days. still waiting on some 14500s.

Ultrafire from Kaidomain. Modded.

They fit mine

Great. Thanks! Hope mine does as well. Might buy a couple of 18650’s anyway, but it does not fell as urgent any longer….

The 18650/18700 does not imply any specific size difference when working with protected batteries. All protected 18650 are longer than 65 mm, the longest I have is more than 70 mm (This battery is not included in my test yet).

Check my comparison for actual length of many different 18650/18700.
