I strongly recommend that you recharge the battery outside of the light (H3R), using an external charger instead of the usb charging cable. Ironically, XTAR carry some of the better external charger for the 18650 battery. You can refer to HKJ’s good reviews of many 18650/LiIon charger here… Table of tested chargers
