FWIW, I’ve been using straps with plastic fittings for years on expensive firearms that can’t fail and must be counted on to work 100% (my life is worth far more than the gun). I have yet to have one fail in many decades of hard use in rural Maine and under all sorts of conditions.
Too, my carry gear is used every day and it has, you guessed it, plastic snaps and fittings. In over 10 years not one fitting has failed on it either. Plastic can be an indicator of low quality, but not in this case. Plastic fittings are everywhere in rugged outdoor/hard use gear today and they hold up.
I wasn’t really expecting the light soon anyway, with the upcoming shipping delays that will become of Christmas and ‘our’ and the Chinese new year.
What worries me a bit is The Miller though: does anyone know if he’s doing OK? It’s strange to see such an active member suddenly disappear. Just hope he is doing OK
No problem. Coyotehawk will add you to the list on his next update. It will be early January when you will get a PM (personal message) and e-mail giving you all the details of where to go and how to pay.
I’m guessing he just got burned out. I couldn’t do what he did for all that time, for even a week, and stay “sociable”. I don’t know how Jason is doing it, answering the same questions over and over when the answer was given just a bit before.
hello to members here. I purchased a GT couple weeks ago, paid in full. my BLF number is 954 and have not heard anything on my items I purchased. Does anyone have info on these GT lights and when shipping will be made for my group number???
They were going to start shipping this week, but during QC checks they found out the switch cover was not as transparent as they thought and the light did not shine through enough. So they ordered different ones and are switching them out.
They also found an error in the way the drivers were programmed so they are reflashing them.
