Olight i3T EOS

The body looks a little better then those early prototype pics, but they also lost that blue bezel for some reason

I think it’s still there ; just not much visible in the picture posted above.

Blue bezel is gone.

I hereby name this thing the Olight Wood Screw

Later,
Keith

Olight just announced via their Facebook page it’s available now as of July 2nd on their main wesbite only. Better grab one while you can. I am sure they will be sold out before the end of the day.

yea i found it on amazon UK, will have it next week if all goes well.

No memory mode. [Not good}

No moonlight or firefly mode. [Not good]

Throw at lowest setting (5 Lumens) = 10 meters. [Not low enough]

Beam angle ~ 29°. [Not floody enough]

For my purposes this light is not suitable, so I'll have to pass on this one.

I had the same complaints but bought the lamp anyway, as I wanted to get a feel of it and send a signal to Olight that AAA clickies are appreciated.

I'll add that the sort of "spiral threading" on the body is pretty ugly (for me), ineffective in terms of grip and uncomfortable. However that isn't too much of an issue in practice given the clip provides excellent grip.

5 lumens is okay for me in practice, but I really have no use for the highest setting - too bright.

I can only say i would have liked a moonlight mode, rest is not much to care for, it will have a purpose low and high. i mean for 20 bucks this light is worth it.

Don’t know if it will help you, I did a huge comparison between the two modes (and autonomy, color temperature, beam…)
The 5 lumens mode is great, enough light to walk quickly in the darkness. With a moonlight mode, I’ve got some difficulty. But you are right, 5 lm is more than you need for some uses !

I’ve been using the i3T EOS for a while. Today it started flickering like a strobe on both modes! That’s correct, the battery (Ni-MH) was below 1V .
I also tried some almost drained AA Alkalines and the same behaviour is noticed.
Just wanted to say this as I don’t know if you have seen it on yours :+1:

Someone on Amazon was complaining about this strobe effect. I think I’ll suggest a battery replacement
Thank you for the info

LOOOL  Maybe it is better to do that :stuck_out_tongue: Otherwise it will only get double-levelled-momentary-strobe (that would be a first, no?) :sunglasses:

Glad it was useful! I guess it wouldn’t be possible to reach this conclusion if it wasn’t for you

I take it you can’t use a 10440 cell in this correct?

You can, any they make it significantly brighter, but there’s no LVP.

Excuse my ignorance but what’s LVP?

It is Low Voltage Protection, that stops the flashlight from draining below a certain level (Voltage) to protect the cell (namely the rechargeables, Ni-MH, Li-Ion, …) !

Thanks much!
