I paid in full for my two lights on April 30th, with expedited shipping, and not had a word since. No shipping notice, no tracking, nada. Am I one of many in the same boat, or have I done something wrong? I’ve had the Order Received email which says I’ll get a shipping notice so quite surprised I’ve heard nothing. Anyone else left in limbo or am I being impatient? Smile

Hi DrHook59,
Check into your account at NealsGadgets and you should see tracking code there.

Obligatory “Yay my 7A FW3A shipping email has arrived”. Nobody cares, but I’m just as excited as everyone else is!

Considering that I was quite far down the list, and the limited quantity of 7A at the moment, I’m impressed at how quickly it was made ready to ship!

Thanks Jiffy – just done that and it says the order is unfulfilled. I thought you had lights to ship when I ordered, so I’m wondering why I paid the $10 expedited shipping now. Sigh. But hey, not a biggie. Still looking forward to the lights. Been a while so a little longer won’t mean a lot.

Smile

Aye it was very quick there. Two days from Hong Kong to London. Three days from London to local depot. Yodel’s webchat guy said:
“According to the tracking your parcel has not been scanned for some time. As such I would need to request for a base search to be conducted in order to locate your parcel. To ensure a speedy process, kindly provide me with the contents of your parcel so that I may share this information with the depot.”

I’ve contacted NealsGadgets through Messenger so will see if they can follow it up.

You find that with Yodel though, the package always finds it’s way fine to the local depot then mysteriously disappears or it has been “delivery attempted” (not) then just evaporates. Angry Facepalm

I have like an 80% success rate with them, not the best for a delivery company…

But I have faith in you this time Yodel Innocent

Yodel does not deserve your faith!

Apparently my parcel will be handled by Royal Mail. I sure hope this is the case.

the shop said from the first moment that it's a pre-sale and shipping starts today

(and Neal will send hundreds of lights today as promised!)

he just had some 3A before that date and did many a favor by sending before the given date.

expedited shipping vs standard shipping has effect when the parcel left China - it is no cheat to cut the waiting list or get it sent from "hidden stock" Wink

hope that makes it clear that everything is going as planned and described...

So we have #1 choice as well as #9 and #10 on the list. 4000k 5D I thought would have made it in the mean time while waiting for the other possibilities in that range.

I got the notice mine has shipped. It’s a 7A.

I checked the China Post tracking number record, which shows an extended tour of many cities in the Russian Federation, and ends with:

Quote:
Delivered, Front Door/Porch. Your item was delivered at the front door or porch at 11:53 am

on July 29, 2017 in SAINT PETERSBURG, FL 33711.

Hang onto the flashight tight when you click it, if you want to be transported across time and space ….

Here are test results from maukka for SST-20 FA3 and FD2 tint bins. They both look pretty OK, with FA3 being slightly better, but harder to get. If Neal actually found FD2, that will be pretty satisfactory, I think.

Mine has been in LHR customs since 5am on Sunday… On its way to Devon. I was really hoping the tracking just stopped at LHR and it would magically arrive yesterday. Seems I was wrong on both counts.

I never assumed expedited shipping was a cheat to cut the waiting list. I just figure that had I ordered the 3A separately from the 7A, it would have already arrived with, and possibly without expedited shipping.

Now I suspect I may be waiting even longer since folks that presumably ordered only the 7A are receiving their shipping notices. It appears that, since all the 3As that were on hand are gone, I’ll be waiting until both units happen to be in stock at the same time before my order is put together and shipped. Hopefully I’m wrong about this.

I’m with you candor, ordered one 3D and one 7A and haven’t seen or heard anything. I did PM Neal with a request for an estimated shipping date based on my order number but no response. I’m sure he’s up to his eyeballs in FW3As, shipping supplies and customer requests.

It’ll get here at some point.

Anyone got a good source of 10507 optics in the US? Richard seems to be out of stock.

Yeah, I ordered 3 optics so I could compare all 4. One arrived the next day from Nevada and the other 2 arrived a few days later from Germany. So super fast shipping.

Well, there is a WANT list and a WHAT IS AVAILABLE NOW list. Sometimes they don’t match up and we get 1, 9 and 10. Actually it looks like 3, 9 and 10. People did vote for those lower choices, so their needs are being fulfilled, that’s good. There is nothing around 4000K yet, but overall having 3 tints available so early is impressive. Plus a 4th tint is still to come. So they are doing a good job overall. Thumbs Up

Sorry if I am asking a question that may have been answered already (searching for “tint” is a futile attempt in this long thread Wink )

Which one is the fourth tint and has that one been confirmed or something? Will there be many more variants of this lights going forward? Read OP/post 1 and there were only 3 LED options listed.

Thanks!

As I understand it the current options are XP-L Hi 3D, 7A & 1A. The SST-20 4000k is also planned but with no date yet. Nothing other than these have been confirmed.

Yeah. I think Neal is probably sick of me sending the poll data to him. I’ve sent it like 20 times in various forms. Personally I find the heat map version easiest to read:

All data from both polls (with no attempt to match up usernames between polls):

Same thing, but after removing all votes where XP-L HI was the first choice:

… and one which kinda shows both, because I matched up usernames to provide more emitter-specific preference info:

If it makes you feel any better, I was the first person to order and it still says my order is unfulfilled.

I ordered one light before sending out the notifications, so I could document the ordering process and verify the shop actually works. Didn’t want to send notifications without making sure it works first. But I don’t expect Neal to prioritize my order since I already have one.

Definitely like the “Heat Map”. I think your use of them was the first time I had seen them.
