I finally received replacements for the 2 XHP35 Hi leds that were sold to me last year as 80CRI but that I measured 70CRI.
I soldered one into my Astrolux FT02 and I can confirm that this batch of 80CRI 4000K XHP35 Hi leds from Kaidomain is indeed 80CRI : in the lowest mode I measure 82CRI in the hotspot, in the highest mode 79CRI. Also worth noting is a large CCT shift at different currents, from 3600K in the lowest mode to 4100K in the highest mode. Kind of nice for a light source that the tint warms up at lower output.
The tint of the 70 CRI version is superb, bit rosy indeed, this 80 CRI version (looking at the hotspot) is not as rosy, even a bit above the BBL, but I still like it, and see no green at all, more a bit yellow.
Can you please kindly check on my order #5039- it has been processed for some time, and I haven’t seen any updates to its status for a while. I would greatly appreciate it!
But, sst40/20 or even Nichia 219c/b that I came across with in BLF, are sets of HIGH CRI led. I want to see whether the flashlight beamshot pass High CRI test with great result…
