KD (kaidomain): Deals and new products thread

Yes. I know there are the CCT options there. I was trying to say KD’s listing doesn’t specify any CRI rating for any of the tint options for that module.

All other LED’s and modules on the KD website that are HI CRI are clearly advertised as such, and even listed in the titles. So my thought was maybe there previously was a HI CRI 3*XPL-HI module listing when SKV89 bought his, but now since BurningPlayd0h enlightened me I see that all XPL-HI 3000k would always be at least CRI90, but you wouldn’t know that from the KD listing if you didn’t already know.

Ah, i’m with you now, i misunderstood what you were saying, apologies. I agree, the implication is it’s not HCRI unless stated so….

BanL - It seems the 3000K option in the following listing is CRI90 but this is not stated. Can you check and update the listing if necessary please? Thanks

Kdlitker 3x XPL-HI 3000K

Hi

I get your points.

I will add once more option for Warm White 3000K high CRI version to make sure it will install with high CRI LED.

Ban

New interesting SST20 leds found on KD: 5000K SST20 L5 DD , 4000K SST20 K2 FD2 , 2700K SST20 J3 JA3

That 5000K L5 DD would be amazing if bins are true. Highest possible flux bin with a tint similar to the Cree 3A!

I have serious doubt that FD2 is legit. I’ve come to believe that Luminus don’t even make this bin. But I will buy one just to try it.

The JA3 is a very nice 2700K. I tried Fireflies version and it is one of the better WW emitters I’ve tried.

FD2 bin?

Ban is this confirmed?

Yea, it is coming from the new wheel.

We are starting to use with this.

Thank you

is 5000K L5 DD below BBL?

Mostly, see here: https://download.luminus.com/datasheets/Luminus_SST-20-WxS_Datasheet.pdf

Seems like you need 3500K or lower to have bins 100% below BBL: https://www.mouser.com/datasheet/2/245/Luminus_SST-20-WxH_Datasheet-1499224.pdf, like for GA2 and GA3

Crap I was thinking FD1. FD2 is not rosier than FA3 :person_facepalming:
,

Looks even nicer with a slice. Hotspot get’s super small though.

I have not received any confirmations that the FD2 bin can be attained with the K2 brightness bin yet.

BanL, are the JKK lights your design?

I do not think so. They can be found in many strange stores on Ali. I bought in one of them.

Mines been ok from KD, pretty much normal, 2/3 weeks, sometimes quicker.

I waiting two orders (13/03/2020 and 29/03/2020), both SG registered shipping.
The one from 13/03/2020: 2020-03-26 Despatched to overseas (Country code: UY)
The one from 29/03/2020: 2020-04-04 Information Received – Item En Route to Postal Facility

I was going to say “pretty good R9 values” in the above table by SKV89, but after going to quote the post I see the 70+ figures are for R12. Now I see how it works, but it's weird to see that the table frame isn't shown or is set invisible. Maybe it is easier on the eyes to list the value identifiers, a colon, and then the corresponding value (R9: 22.7 R12: 72.6 Rf: 82…).
