Good price on GP Recyko+ 4xAAA at FocalPrice @ 6.18$ [FAKE?]

I like these batteries (though I don't have eneloops for comparison). old4570 found they're about 90%-95% of their claimed capacity ( https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/1219#comment-20233 ), may improve with further recharge cycles. About 20%-40% cheaper than other budget sites (such as TinyDeal and DealExtreme), and FocalPrice seem to ship fast lately. http://www.focalprice.com/EB228G/Genuine_GP_412V_820mAh_AAA_NiMH_Rechargeable_Battery_Green.html

These are neither genuine, nor lsd cells...

How do you know that?

He does not know for sure. Maybe he assumed from the seller which is not very well accepted on BLF. Due to unethical experiences some had in the past.

Even the normal priced recykos of DX et al are fakes (as discussed in the forums and the AAA ones I received are 100% fake too).

Now they pop up on FP with a price a lot lower. You do the math.

phlowcus, can you give a pointer to such discussion, or give a few points for detecting fake Recykos?

I have some that I bought locally for the equivalent of 20$ so I guess they're genuine, and I have 4 that are due to arrive from TinyDeal that cost me about 8$, so I guess they might be fake. Maybe I could make a comparison, see if I see any difference.

Label sais green generation ..

My GP Recyko sais , New Generation ... ??

Try the low self discharge from hobbyking, I've had a good experience with them especialy with the AA version.

$0.79 per unit X 4 = $3.16 + $2.99 shipping = $6.15 Total

Yup, FocalPrice, TinyDeal and DealExtreme all say "green generation".

They even faked the company site: http://www.gprecyko.com/en/battery_pack.html vs http://www.gppowerclub.com/gprecyko/battery_pack.htm [also, here in a blurry font, but says "green", I think: http://www.gpbattery.com/recyko.html]

Or maybe these are just two generations of the genuine batteries? (green generation being the older, probably, so sells at a lower price)

The recykos at DX are bad fakes, not lsd. Their gs yuasa enitimes however are real and lsd.

Hmm.

Yes, they may be fake after all.

I've just read the reviews at DX, seems they sold genuine at the beginning, then changed to bad genuines or fakes.

I wish I had some kind of battery capacity tester so I could run tests on mine.

Some day. Maybe.

http://www.gprecyko.com/en/index.html Address from my pack .

Well, my recyko aaa bought locally say "green generation" (and also states www.gprecyko.com as the web site).

However, if I can trust the "waybackmachine" site, this is indeed just the older version of the brand name: http://replay.waybackmachine.org/20091103193245/http://www.gprecyko.com/en/index.html

So we should look for other way to differentiate real recykos from the fake ones.

Best way is to use them and do a side by side comparison real world test ..i have some batteries people claim to hate and I bough them cheap enough that bang for buck I'm impressed ..I bought 15 minute rayovac AAA's 12 for 9$ they work fine ..I wouldn't do a 15 min. charge on anything .

try them they work for you then who cares

They are genuine ,I am sure

Hmmm... Money back guarantee?
