New Roche triple xml u2!

http://www.cnqualitygoods.com/goods.php?id=1841

Good looking light! Too bad about the ‘hold for 3 seconds to turn on’…When I want light, I want it instantly. No waiting.

Also, the price is a little on the high side. Otherwise pretty nice!

Nice…no battery carrier.

I just saw this too, almost looks to tk75-ish nice anno too but little pricey.

Saw this looks cool, I have bought from this seller before, and he is reliable.

that’s look like updated version of sky ray king
btw i got my sky ray s6 bike light from him too

this one also has XML U2 too but cheaper…black sky ray king

I have that already

This Roche has a larger head then the kings or tm11 and quality looks good, I want to see some reviews of this one

TM15 should be superior - it’s three times the price

I think Roche is fine for a brand name - I read it as just a family name (lots of Roche’s in Ireland). Don’t know where the Roche (or La Roche) in Hoffmann La Roche comes from though.

I don’t own a tm15 but i have a tm11 and my black skyray king and shadow sl3 are way cheaper and just as good quality

exactly

I’ll say… go ahead sir and buy it… then then compare ith with your other flashlights and post the results.
we’ll be glad to read about them lights

I’m struggling to see a situation where I both need a few thousand lumens, and can’t wait for three seconds to get them.

I’d rather not have a few thousand lumens and the heat build up rampaging round in my pocket because I caught the sensitive electronic instant on switch.

This is not so much a light you whip out as a light you deploy for a task. If you need a fast lumen hit, pocket a well driven c8 xm-l/high driven p60/high driven tube edc etc, this is more for turn on, see what’s happening, continue to see what’s happening for a while.

bah - if designer is worried about accidental activation, build in a 1/2 twist lockout feature or second switch.

it isn’t that you can’t wait 3 seconds - what CAN’T you wait three seconds for… - but i still don’t wanna

+1

lol. when turning on a flashlight, three seconds is a pretty long time. When you’re waiting for light in a dark place, the last thing I want is to sit there holding it for three seconds (sounds quick, but it isn’t). What is wrong with an instant click, or even a half second click (similar to turning a zebralight onto low mode from off). But 3 seconds, that is excessive. If I am out in the bush on a hiking/camping trip and hear something in the bush, the last thing I want is to sit there holding down a switch.

Even ramping is annoying to wait for for me (if it is anything like my ultrafire uf-H2b). Why wait and ramp through modes holding a button when a good UI can access it much quicker and easier like a zebralight, or control ring…

Just my personal opinion I suppose!

So ramp up to a high level and memory it, I’ve just fitted a driver that has group a - 3 mode, no blinkies, group b ramping, group c and d blinkies, not much everyday use, but there if I need it.

I just have it on ramping, select the brightness I’m likely to need - night light for baby duties, mid for work use, high (3.7a) for playing.

It just about the best UI I’ve found. Standard reverse clicky, that’s it.

As I said above, if I need instant light, I’m going to grab my edc before I throw a few thousand lumens into the mix.

Again its memory low. Then if I need high, half a click and I have it, its good in that the driver I fitted has two groups, 5 mode blinky, 3 mode non blinky. I’m going to build the same edc for the missus, then if she’s out at the pub memory blinky as a get away thing, half press light for the key in the door. Day to day, 3 mode, memory low.

I really think your looking at the intended use of this light wrong, its a search light, you turn it on and leave it in a planned situation, you dmset the brightness level in advance in a planned manner. For instant light, carry a light that starts on high no memory. This is a tool, not a situation light.

I’m thinking that the three seconds is to activate an electronic side switch. Unlike Sunwayman or Nitecore EC2 where you have to go through a process to electronically deactivate or activate the lockout, this one is automatic, to compensate for parasitic drain.

Maybe I am just spoiled with my ZL SC600 then. Fallen in love with the UI.

Sideswitch, instant light, instant access to any mode from off with a simple click or double click, and simple tailcap lockout. No fooling around.

And when ZL releases (if they ever release) their triple xml, it will most likely have the same UI, which will make it a beautiful triple xml to use lol. I’d be happiest with that UI in any light. Waiting for my light to turn on, or for my light to get to a preferred mode just isn’t something I want, no matter what its intended use is.

Lol, I sound very impatient don’t I? haha. I am sure its not as bad as I think it is. But I have just found a UI I enjoy I suppose.
