How To: Multiple Quotes in One Post

It was suggested that this would be useful, so here it is: an explanation on how to quote multiple posts in just one post.

First find the two (or more) posts you want to quote.

Then right click on the quote button and select open in new tab on all but one of the posts. On the final post simply click the quote button.

Then go to that new tab, and select all of the text in the post editor; then right click and select copy.

Then close that tab and move to the other tab, the one that you just click quote on. Right click and select paste.

Then you simply repeat for each additional post you want to quote and add what you want to say. Save the post and it should look like this.

Hope this is helpful. :)

What foolish person did not know this? Thanks scaru.

This one, for one. Thanks Scaru. I’ve been wondering how that’s done. Maybe we need a sub forum for forum management skills.

Test.

Congratulations, you quoted a post. :P

Test 2

Just implement a multi quote button, enable it in the forum engine. Thank you.

Test 2 worked properly. This does not work on W8 and IE10. Worked on Firefox though.

Sorry V-Spec. I think were all posting at the same time. No I used scarus. I need pictures for instructions as I'm really dumb with a lot off things including this.

It's always worked for me... I have no idea on why it wouldn't work and V-Spec's would, they use the same method the only difference is one uses the open in new tab button and the other uses the back button.

Now all scaru has to learn is how to set the size of all pics to 100%. :P

I would say they would, internet explorer isn't exactly known to be the best browser. (It sucks)

I left that one like that just to see how long it would take for you to comment. ;)

Test3 in IE10 scarus method.

I only seem to get the 100% option posting pictures in the simple way off doing posts.

In the advanced one you do it this way. (Shamelessly stolen from JM)

Test 4. Sorry guys.

Thanks. Yep that's me not understanding again. It may help Mr Rufusbduck reading my posts. The brain has just gone into overload with all this new knowledge. Time for a Bex and Nanna nap

You can quote anything even people that did not post anything originally :stuck_out_tongue:
