IMR-18650 LiMN Lithium 3.7V 2400mah Rechargable Battery

Hmmmmm , http://cgi.ebay.com/IMR-18650-LiMN-Lithium-3-7V-2400mah-Rechargable-Battery-/110674134358?pt=US_Batteries&hash=item19c4b14556#ht_7860wt_979

For those in the States : Might be worth a look see

The problem is I have always got lower Amp readings with any of those crappy ultrafire 3k milamp batterys.(Don't waste your money on them). You might want to compare them to AW and test the difference against those.

thanks

ICR=IMR?

ICR = LCR = LiCo = Lithium Cobalt, IMR = LMR = LiMn = Lithium Manganese. LiMn cells usually have quite a bit less capacity than the same sized LiCo cell. Example AW's 1600 LiMn.

That's good to know. Thanks photon.

ICR = LCR = LiCo = Lithium Cobalt

IMR = LMR = LiMn = Lithium Manganese

I dont get why this was posted in the deal alerts forum

How is this a good deal? AW sells known quality IMR cells for cheaper.

I could understand if these cells cost a considerable amount less (ie: Trustfire 2400mah flames being half the price of AW), then Id might be willing to gamble with my money. But these cost more, are not proven like AWs, and have a capacity that is most likely waay overstated.

Am I missing something?

Not so much a deal allert as simply allerting folks that they exist .. Are they good ? I dont know ...

Has anyone tested them ? Or are folks simply making assumptions ...

If you have some hard Data please share , if not ?

My interest was in the claimed capacity and discharge capability .. I have a AW IMR and its not that flash , my Samsung 30A is much better , as is the Panasonic 2900 ...

So excuse me for making people aware they exist .. If you have hard data to share please do so ...

IMR AW $9.50 + $4.50 shipping

These are $12.50 + $4 shipping

So the question begs = Which is the better cell ?

If you have some tests to point to , please share .

Sorry if I came off the wrong way. I just thought I was missing something. I figured maybe this was a 4 pack or something which would make it an awesome deal.

Dont take it personal. Things dont always come off as intended when read through a computer screen instead of spoken in person.

Thanks for the heads up on these though

Im sorry if I over reacted , but proven AW's ... If AW's are a benchmark , then there are many batteries out there that outperform them .

Will they outlast them ? I find batteries a bit of a ??? [ whats a good word ? ] ?? something issue .[ contentious ]

Anyway .. I dont want to judge a battery [ even if it has a name only a blind man could love ] by name , sure , there is some real rubbish out there , and some folks just feel the need to ride everything hard thats not AW . I just want to see them all tested , and sorted , and then let folks chose there power source from a well informed perspective , rather than opinion based on no facts or experiance .

Are these cells a deal ? they could be the biggest RIP in town , or a great buy , some one needs to find out .

Cheaper is not always better .

If these cells can discharge well , and have a capacity over 2000mAh , are they safe cells ? they could be a good buy . [ Could ] [ Please anyone ]

I want to know , I find nothing more vexing than being in the dark [ let there be light ]

But

If you want a really good Li-ion , buy 2 Panasonic 2900's for $23 Shipped , thats 11.50 each to your door ...

My Panasonic outperforms everything but the Samsung 30A @ 4.35v ,

There you go , I was able to find a Chinese Company selling something simillar [ description ] for $10.50

The description seemed to be the same = No picture , so ?

But if it is the case , then these are just the run of the mill , nothing special IMR cells ..

And the capacity claim would be false ... http://www.chinaontrade.com/imr-18650-2400mah-limn-rechargeable-lithium-battery-p-412.html

Hmmm , interesting looking flashlight ...

http://search.china.alibaba.com/selloffer/k-18650_n-y.html

Well , I spent a good hour searching , there is so little info out there on IMR's [ actual 18650 IMR's ]

But if you look , you will see there are a lot of 18650 cells out there we never see .

So I got a little excited , Im sorry .

Looks like the seller might be selling BS ...

http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/437871510/PCM_Protected_18650_battery_3_6V.html Possibly interesting

http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/339215968/ER18505_Lithium_Thionyl_Chloride_Battery.html Primary ?

http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/408687132/SIZE_D_lithium_battery.html D size

Just cant find those particular cells

So they sell ICR as IMR

Where do you get those Panasonics?

Most cells are on Ebay now .

Panasonic - Samsung - Sanyo - LG , 18650's

I doubt that it is deliberate. Looks like they may have used the wrong photo. They clearly state 'IMR' several times throughout their listing, and have other photos of IMR-labeled cells further down. But I agree that it's not confidence inspiring.

Guys, these are fake know cells, non IMR, and overpriced. I asked the dealer for Redilast, who uses MNKE for their cells, and he told me that they were not genuine mnke. And the max capacity of an imr is about 1600 mah. Aw’s are usually the best cells for high current, but certainly not for budget. These fake imr have been tested to have low current ability, along with the 26650 that the seller also advertises as imr.

Good to know. Thanks for looking into it.

Where can we get a solid AW IMR shipping internationally and below $10 a piece? I saw many IMR called ones with ICR writings on them and some AW's with regular LiIon chemistries and high prices but never could find a good AW IMR at a fair price.

Is worth a look. They won't perform as well as the AW ones but cost a lot less. I have blown a 20A fuse on a multimeter with the 14500 versions.

Thanks Don. I ordered pairs of 18650 and 14500 IMRs.

Ps. does a 22650 fit in a Solarforce L2i?
