Just ordered 1 of this Yupard , it looks interesting, has battery meter and it capable of charging your phone too and oh yeah… it’s at budget price too
( dang… can’t take post the pics from that website)
EDIT
Just got it today in the mail…opened up the box and guess what? the light is inside the buble wrap BUT outside the normal white box and with foam around it.( what in the world were they thinking? )… the box was crushed too but good thing no damage to the light.
First impression… this light is tall!.. taller than most C8 variants, smaller and shorter head than regular C8 and it’s not black or grey, it’s purple! more like gunmetal purple color… kinda cool, I don’t have any light in my collection in this color
There’s several unique feature on this light, the XM-L2 LED is on a star only has 1 wire!( positive) :~
The light itself is feel hefty due to think heat sink around the driver pill, just slightly more heavier than Convoy C8.
I had no access to the driver as the driver pill section is glued |( I guess they trying to hide the driver trade secret?
After all it is the only budget light ( under $20) that has battery meter on it
Of course it has to come with 5 next mode memory |( starting with LOW-MID-HIGH-STROBE-SOS
Driven at around 1.5A with XM-L2 the output is my guesstimate at around 400-500 lumens
Would I recommend it? that depend on are you collecting it or if you care about the lumens more?
But for something that under $20 and has a battery meter not a bad deal at all…
This is some light that you want to put it in glove compartment as it’ll give you idea how much battery left in the light
Now if I can find a way to open this driver pill and see if I can do some resistor mod to this light to bump it to a nice 3 Amp then this light definitely will be a nice light to carry around, but it’s perfect enough for walking the dogs at night.
Btw… it does comes with nice olive drab color lanyard with lobster claw hook on it
Side by side comparison with Convoy C8 (Yupard is on low mode )
