If you’re just checking the new posts you should go back and check out the OP. I added a bunch of pictures and info including the oh so helpful tint beam shots from Simons store. Enjoy! 8)

LOL. I didn’t even notice that. I think he’s having a little fun with us. I’m going to pretend he meant to say “gift from girl” you know, with the language barrier and all. Silly

Edit: He did say he’d been very busy taking care of his daughter. I wonder how much influence she has on daddy’s flashlight company… Big Smile

The last S2+ I bought direct from Simon had the driver soldered into the pill. The pill was still threaded, but it was soldered in rather than using a threaded ring to hold the driver. I want to change the driver or reflash it for moonlight mode and soldered driver makes that a pain. I am sure my wife will see this and will have to have it.

Anyone know if PayPal is still an option directly through Simon? 353981950@qq.com was used for the M1 GroupBuy, is it the same for general purchases?

By the way, yes you can always pay Simon with PayPal and that’s still the correct PayPal email. That’s the only way I do it. I usually send him an email first to give him a heads up and then send payment with my order specifics in the additional note with my payment. I’ve been using ePacket which has been relatively quick (15 days) to the US. If I have any questions I just ask him how much the total is with my requested customizations. He replies and I send him the payment. Never had any problem at all and he’s always gotten my customizations right.

I bought two S2+‘s from him, with the default 3×7135 drivers. These had single-sided Nangj ‘AK-47’ driver boards that were not soldered to the pill.
Probably the ring does not fit on these small lights once you go to the double-sided ‘105D’ 6x or 8× 7135 drivers.

Buy it with a 3×7135 or 4×7135 driver and retrofit/re-flash as you need?

4 x Blue ones ordered.
2 × 7135*6 add $0.53 + 1 x XML2 T6-3B add $0.53
2 × 7135*8 add $0.88 + 1 x XML2 T6-3B add $0.53
The two others has the U2-1A.

Really don’t need them, but of course I have to have the blue ones also. Simon is the best, and I have lots of S2+ from him.

Just getting started, have a ad with Convoy S2+ out, but after one month, still no response. Tried to add a battery and a charger also, to the same price, still no luck.
But when I have got all the stuff I ordered, still maybe 30 days left to all is here, then I will start to be more active. Maybe setup a webpage etc. I have sold some batteries, and a couple of SoShine 4 x battery chargers with batteries. And yes, one red S2+. (to a friend Smile )
Don’t think this will be a huge business, but I don’t have little time. My goal is to sell what I have (and it’s on it’s way) and then I have to see if I will continue, or just put this behind me.

Great news. I’ll hold off for a little as I’ve bought my quota of stuff for a month or two, but I’ll be keen to grab one of these beauties soon.

Well, good luck then!

Perhaps you should copy both titles of red and blue S2+ from BLF threads when you place your ad’s in Norway, might sell like hot cakes :D?

His and hers?

Just saying good quality and real lumens don’t seems to get any sales. So maybe I will change the ad to reflect the original text.

For people who are not familiar with flashlights you will have to actually show them the light in action for them to understand why it is better and why does it cost more than the generic 2D-cell led flashlight from the hardware store.

My friends used to call me nuts when I told them I have flashlights over $100 but once I showed them, they wanted to buy it from me.

I am very tempted but I have yet to sort out my fake Red S2+ with Gearbest properly yet (they want photos). I can hardly blame Simon for this but as much as I like the idea of them, the S2+ has become tainted which is ridiculous I know but that’s life I guess.

I respectfully disagree. The only thing that should come of this in my opinion is that you cross off a distributor that has been found untrustworthy. It’s shocking that that would ask you to provide pictures when they know they’ve been selling counterfeit goods. Gearbest is the only one that’s been tainted here and in my opinion should be avoided at all costs. Honestly I’m shocked that anyone here still buys from them. What you have is not a red S2+ so why would it taint Simon’s excellent product? If I buy a Rolex out of the trunk of someone’s car and it doesn’t live up to Rolex quality standards does that taint Rolex? Of course not. It just means there are scam artists out there and you have to be cautious if you buy from sellers with a sketchy reputation. Simon has an excellent reputation that he has earned. He has also stated that Gearbest told him they “realized” they were selling fakes and will not sell anymore and that if he finds out they have been he will no longer supply them any lights and will post here on BLF warning us not to buy from them. Just buy from him and you have a rock solid guarantee.

I’m afraid it is not possible to do bright colors in true HA III. The thickness of real HA III causes it to be darker. Medium gray, dark gray, dark olive, charcoal, black. You can add colors but they would be combined with the HA III base gray or olive color. Anyone showing bright colors that they claim to be true HA III is either lying or themselves were lied to by the anodizer.

I sent Simon an email asking about this after seeing that question so we’ll see what he say’s but I imagine Halo is correct. That said, the anodizing on all my Convoy lights has help up very well. The red S2+ has been bouncing around my wife’s purse with keys, change and whatever else for months and I don’t see a single scuff on it. I literally just pulled it out to check and it looks like new.
