Budget Bushcraft Review and Test: Schrade SCHF51(M) and SCHF52(M). Jokes, Batoning, and Tree Limb Wrasslin.

Hey there BLF, it took me a while to churn these out, but here is my review for the new Bushcraft blades from Schrade. The SCHF51, SCHF51M, SCHF52, &CHF52M Bushcraft and Survival Knives. The 51 comes with a Micarta or TPE handle, and features a blade slightly over 5 inches. The SCHF52 and SCHF52M are basically the same knife as the 51 but with a longer blade, measuring a bit over 7 inches. Anyway looks like Knife Depot carries them for a about $40ish or less. Schrade provided these 4 blades for abuse. Thanks for watching!

AWESOME!

I have the Schrade 38 (Steel 1095) and works well.

Nice! What light is that?

The flashlight is a “Torch Club” (Manker, but I do not like that name and I deleted it), is a flashlight of quality, robust reliable; I bought it from banggood and if you enter the coupon you take it at a great price.
Just to know, the torches behind are the C8, a very robust version, I found on Fasttech, modified with driver 8X7135 and XM-L2.
One of them came to me with a parable 42x36SMO ( ). (all reflectors are made of aluminum)

Cool, thanks! I saw a few reviews a while back, but I forgot about it.

It's good to see you moving on up to the larger branches/trunks.

Are you missing anything?; I think someone was ripping your house off around the 6:50 mark, whilst you were batoning.

That’s just my wife, cleaning the house… While I’m out chopping wood with cameras pointed at me.

Are you going to be making your videos all day?

“While i’m in here cleaning up your carboard cuttings” lol.Nice review as always, now all you need is the hat, you know, the one with the corks

There’s a cardboard massacre still sitting in my shed from my last knife reviews… One of these days I better clean it up. Luckily I’m the only one who goes back there.

I loved this, mhanlen! And I totally get your survivor jokes, haha! Thanks for the nice time you gave me.

Personally, I find the 52 very appealing, a bit more than the 51 (finger choil on a 5incher is somewhat overkill in my experience, other than that both are great tools). I have the 37 and very much like it.

mhanlen, your review makes me want a 52...why do ya keep doin' this to me? Don't really need one, but WANT ONE.....is there subliminal in your vids?

When I put that joke in there, I had to just go check and make sure it was a bunch of crappy music and reality show clips.

It’s a pretty nice piece of steel! Why get an axe when you have a knife!

Very nice review, as always!

Thanks man!

Now I'm not going to say that you should

But I will merely say that you could

If you need to split it

You just have to hit it

It seems this knife would baton wood

the small ones should have a less thicker blade in my opinion, thanks for the review, probably just sold me a SCHF52.

I have a SCHF42 Frontier with the 5” full flat ground recurved 1095 blade. I like the knife a lot but it’s too heavy to stay in my pack so it stays at home and I just bring my Becker Eskabar Knife.

It would definitely make them a tad lighter. I do like how the handle length is the same size though. My fingers aren’t crowded at all on either handle.

Nice. Ever since I’ve carried my Endura 4, I think flat grounds are my favorite.
