Broke down and bought a Zebralight H602

I broke down this morning and bought a Zebralight H602 while they where on sale. I guess that it is being discontinued. I have alway wanted a Zebralight and saw the H602W on sale 2-3 weeks ago. Waited around and they sold. I went ahead and jumped on the H602 while they were available still. I know the reflectorless lights are special application lights but it is what I needed for working in my dark attic. Or other up close work. I don't have any floodlights so it fills a need. I also ordered two protected Zebralight cells. I would rather not have a problem with unprotected cells, thank you.

Guess I waited too long as well, I see that the H602W is no longer available. It was the light I always wanted but never bought. I have the H302W and it’s amazing. I heard that the H602 is actually better than the H603. not sure why however. I don’t want a CW light.

I have a H602w and H600w Mk II and love them both. I actually use them with a pocket clip more often than with a headband.

I highly recommend the Armytek Wizard pocket clip. It fits pretty well without modification, but I chose to file/grind/sand mine to fit into the square ribs on the Zebralight’s body for an even better fit.

See my post here for photos, more info, and some links to sources for the Armytek Wizard pocket clips.

I attached a small bar magnet to the pocket clip with heat-shrink tubing. I also tucked a 1/2” diameter, 1/8” tall disc-shaped grade N52 neodymium magnet into the spring of the tailcap. It makes them mountable in nearly any position when working around something ferrous. The magnet in the tailcap takes up a little space, so a protected battery won’t fit.

If I had to choose just one Zebralight headlamp, it would definitely be a “mule.”

Clip from H52 fits H600; also good fit have clips from Fenix LD10 and LD12.
Unprotected 18650 work perfectly with Zebralight headlamps and flashlights, and for the new generation of their flashlights they are the only option anyway.

Shoot, I meant to order a clip from Zebralight when I made the order. I had read that one of the other clips fit the H60X series. Forgot about it. Oh, well. I should have the package in hand Friday. Excited! I did want the neutral white light but am not a tint snob. So far, that is. I think it is better to see by cool white than to not see at all. Remember, it still beats the awful blue-green cheap LED tint. I am a snob about that. I even was commenting about it in a show that was on TV. The light looked blue. Not blueish tint but blue.

Not quite comfortable enough with unprotected cells to go that route. After I get used to charging and using them, I may try a few. I am just careful about Li-ion cells. Need to order the charger too. But got to wait for the funds.

H602 came in the mail. I REALLY like it. Perfect for my need.
