Bike mount for small flashlight?

Can anyone recomend a bike mount for a small flashlight like something in a single AA size?

Also maybe a budget rear bike light?

It has recently come to my attention that I’ve been riding in the dark illegally, I thought it was just a saftey thing and not the law.

Just get something cheap and simple, like this:

https://www.banggood.com/Wholesale-Universal-Adjustable-Bicycle-Mount-for-Flashlights-(2cm-4cm-Diameter)—p-58801.html

(Note you’ll have to cut&past the entire line above for it to work. For some reason, this site hates the format of some URLs.)

I have one similar to that, and it’s nice because it will accept almost any sized light, and it attaches easy. The velcro holds things in place pretty well, but the one downside is that you will have to readjust it about every hour.

I also have hard-rubber versions. They work well to keep things in place securely. But fitting lights is more difficult.

There are all kinds of cheap flashlight mounts on Chinese gadget sites. You could always get a couple of different ones to see which is better for your light.

I use a couple of these and have bought about 8 of them for mountain biking buddies.
About to order 2 more.

Noone has lost a light yet. We all use single 18650. I’m sure it can take AA lights,
may need to pad the light if tube is really small w/ a cut up mouse pad if nec.

Fixed that for you.

Dunno if it has to be bike-mounted, and front/rear, but in a pinch, a headlamp might work.

I recently saw a guy with a blinkyred light on the back of his helmet.

When you get run over……once……the whole issue of legal or not becomes irrelevant. You want to be SEEN!!!

I’m lucky to live by a bike/walk/run/etc. trail. Occasionally I ride it at night. Some bikers seem to think as long as they can see me, it’s not important that I can see them. These people are dumb asses and will regret it some day, I guarantee it.
Get a DECENT light, front and rear. The more the better.

The Fenix mount by reputation is one of the best. It’s probably the next one I’ll get as I just found out about it myself. The cheap-simple Bangood mount linked above works but tends to not be entirely stable. Probably OK for a small light, not so hot for a larger light or rough riding conditions.

Yeh, when my gf was into running, I gave her a bikelight (about as big as a pack of smokes) which had belt-loops, if only to be seen.

Yes, walkers and runners need to be seen also. Often they seem to think about this even less than bikers, maybe because they are moving so much slower so are less concerned about the consequences.
Fast biker with no light + walker/runner with no light = potential disaster.
Fact, people die on bike trails. I personally consider trails somewhat more dangerous than the road, especially on nice summer weekends.

I see I’m not the only one that has a low opinion of the trail ninjas. I just don’t understand people on a trail at night (long sections with NO LIGHTS), wearing black or really dark clothing, and no lights. Alexandre Dumas, indeed. Get lit, people.

I have this one Simon used to sell, but there are plenty more sellers offering this model on ali, and it works great for 18650 flashlights (except fatter ones, like the C8, where you have to fight it a little to set it in)

I’m not a driver, but being on the passenger seat watching bikers helps to see how easily a biker can be missed if it has no active light mounted on

2 led tail light

try to find ones with AA or AAA batteries because then you can get rechargeable cells.

Look for a planet bike clone

Love the description in the pink section.
I couldn’t see what batteries it used.

OP, as for rear bike lights, I’m using this one:

It runs on 2xAAA cells. I’m sure you can find a clone of it somewhere for less.

i use 2 conduit supports, bolted together, i also put shrink tube insulation on them not to scratch flashlight and the bar, i use convoys2 light, it stays rock solid in my bike, and does not look that bad. no doubt it is stronger than any plastic holder you can find.

i use the same settings as well. headlamp in front & red blinky at the back of helmet. but frankly i think light mounted at handle bar is better bcos when u looks at girls while riding with front headlamp on helmet that girl won’t be happy that u looked at her….haha

This is what i use. Priced at $0.99 on e.b.a.y, Small size & best of all adjustable at 360° front angle. Go for it! :+1:

I broke several of these. If you want it gripping tight, you are going to end up ripping it. Piece of junk, IMO.
