Thrunite TN12

Hi guys
i wanna buy Thrunite TN12

but… I need to know if it’s possible to charge the battery?
or i have to buy more batteries?
are these batteries hard to find?
where to get them?
are these batteries made only for that certain flashlight or it’s possible to buy them at the store?

to be short:
i DON’T wanna buy the flashlight and then use it for several hours and after the battery dies throw it in a trash can…
i need some insurance that i can use this flashlight for years.

thanks

Hi. TN12 Doesn’t come with a battery. It uses a rechargeable 18650. They are easy to find. So you need to buy an 18650 battery and separate charger.

Thrunite TC12 is a very similar light. But has built in charger that you use the included USB charger to charge. It also comes with an 18650.

I have a TN12. I reckon it’s a great beginners light.

Hey how are you doing man. If you’re not too familiar with these batteries, then I recommend getting the TN12 bundle, where you have the right battery and charger. It is a so called 18650 lithium ion battery, but mind you there are many variants of this type. It’s a rechargeable battery, so unless something fails, you should be fine for many years.

Thrunite also has the TC12, which is pretty much the same as the TN12, but it has a built in micro USB charger.

It’s supposed to be a charger/powerbank. I briefly checked out this video where it is explained at around 6 minutes and 10 seconds:

TN12 then add the charger and battery at the bottom
http://www.hkequipment.net/product-p/tn126.htm

Works out cheaper to buy TC12 with included battery and built in charger.
http://www.hkequipment.net/product-p/tc12.htm

I like neutral white. Looks more like sunlight. But cool white is brighter and looks more blue.

Shop around and look for the best price.

Yes it’s safe to buy from. They are a member/seller on this forum. You could message then and ask for a discount if you want. You could ask them about shipment time.

This is one of their sale threads.

PS will its strobe save me from wild hogs if they start charging at me?

Since you’re new and full of doubts and intending to buy a lithium-ion fashlight, it’s imperative that you read this.

The charger works like this: set the battery in the charger cradle then connect it with a micro-USB cable just like you would recharge your phone. When the LED is green, it’s fully charged and you can put it back in.

I don’t think it will, at least not for long. Your torch is a light source, not a proper weapon. Better find other means of protection.

Now, welcome to BLF! Party And yes, the TN12 is a good torch, in fact the 2014 edition was my first 18650 torch. I know better alternatives for my uses now (Convoy with Biscotti), but it’s still got a nice spot in my collection as my only forward clicky with dual switch.

This website hkequipment ships to all countries?
What have I enter in “county” section? I don’t live in the US.

The “county” thing is only if the country chosen is the US. Pick your own and there’ll be no option for that. At least it was when I first made a purchase, almost 2 years ago.

Also, fitting that this thread comes up not even an hour after I break the lens of my Convoy M1 and am now forced to return to my TN12 Sad Luckily I already had spare lenses in the mail, now they just have to arrive.

If you’re sticking with Thrunite get the Neutron 2C V3. Basically the same light but a little cheaper.

Out of curiosity which one did you get? The Neutron has an infinity step up from low to high, so I hope you got that one.. I don’t know what the shipping time would be since it would partly depend on you country’s post office but HK ships pretty quickly. I’ve bought a few lights from them (on ebay) and never had an issue so I don’t know how to contact them.

Dang was hoping you got the Neutron. The high is 650 lumens instead of 450 for the TC12. And the Neutron ramps up from 12 lumen to 650 (meaning is slowly increase in brightness and you stop whenever you want as opposed to predefined jumps ) so if you wanted the same high mode as the TC12 you could just stop at around 450. You can removed the middle tube for the Neutron to get a smaller configuration and use a 18350 battery instead if you prefer a smaller size. Both come with the same battery and have usb recharging. Plus the Neutron was 15 bucks cheaper.

Did you stop to think that maybe he wants a torch with a tailcap switch, or with specific defined modes instead of ramping?

Sure… just as long as there is a shotgun attached to your flashlight.

And that you fire said shotgun in time. Without missing the hog.
