Recommend Me a Gun Mounted Flashlight That Can Handle The Shock

I have Streamlights but I would rather not spend $50-$75 a light.

I would like to pick up a couple in the $20-$35 range. This light would go on AR-15’s for predators/bump in the night situations, which happens often. Usually 3-4 times a week, from bear, coyote, hog and Panther. They are curious of the house, chickens, cats, dogs, and ducks.

I trap the coyotes and fox to try to keep them in check. So I’m looking for a good Chineese affordable and bright light for AR’s. Brightness wise the Convoy S2+ is plenty for 5-75 yards. I have a Kaidomain KF8 and E6 coming in and is up the alley I’m looking for. Preferably 18650 battery, 5-7 inches long, tail switch, and along the lines of being tactical/Edc if I end up up taking it off and carrying it in on me. And around 1” in diameter give or take a few mm for mounting. And the lights need to be able to handle the shock of the gun fire.

So your thoughts if the KF8, E6 and S2+ can handle that kind of shock also.

I could really care less about the critters but the wife is not a fan, so I’m happy to check it out.

Thank in Advance.

Try JOBSMART PRO SERIES TAC-360 , run around $25 at T.S.C… Haven’t had much playtime with mine but comes with some bells & whistles and I picked mine up after a friend didn’t listen to me and mounted his wrong (and shot it). Was tore up but still worked fine. Reminds me have to ask if they honored the guarantee  .

The Convoy M1/M2 lights might give you a bit more throw than the S2+ and should be able to fit in the typical 1” mounts, but I don’t know how they’d hold up, but they do have dual springs.

How far are you looking for ?

I have been using a Bushnell TRKR125 single AA light on my pistol and shotgun for more than a year now. I swapped out the Alkaline battery for a 14500 and it looks to be in the 250lm or so range. Just went outside to the range and it looks like it’s fairly good out to about 60 yards. It can take a beating fairly well. I have dropped it, dunked it, even ran it over with the tractor on accident, and have probably fired a few hundred rounds of 9mm a few of 45acp, and a box or so of 3 inch 12 gauge with the light attached to the weapon. It’s still plugging right along. It looks all beat up and ugly, but it still works. Think I payed $20 for it at wally world.

Looks like this is the trkr150 version. Guess they might not make the 125 anymore. Not sure.

Atactical A1S is what I use

I like the Convoys. The M2 looks the most appealing to me. But the specs through Ali say only 350 lumen, I will check on that. The A1S is a nice looking light too.
Thanks

Ali says “Lumen: >350” for the M1, over 350 lumens, which I think is down to laziness or a limitation in their system. The M1 comes in a couple of max power ratings, 2.1 Amp and 2.8 Amp, so the maximum is probably 800 to 900 lumens with the 8x7135 option.

The M1 is much throwier than the S2+ and handles heat better. I wouldn’t like to say whether either would cope with recoil from a rifle but I’d guess you’d be better off with something advertised as designed for that. For instance, I’ve dropped a Convoy C8 on carpet from about a foot and it began to flash slowly as if it detected the battery was flat. I turned it off and back on and it was fine, but that would be an irritating fault for a rifle mounted light.
