Thanks a lot for your input.
Sorry about the aftermath. Sad
Nothing to apologize for, as far as I am concerned anyway. This is a good, as well as civil discussion for the most part.

Your knowledge, input, & ‘voice of reason’ is most always respected & appreciated. Thumbs Up

I think you, Boaz, Jerommel, djmcconn, Sb, as well as others; are making & have made valid points in this ‘talk’.

And if you doubleclick, it strobes you.

Of that, I have no doubt.

I’m picturing one of these mounted on there, and even thinking about it puts spots in my eyes. Smile

Personally, I wish there were more girls interested into flashlights, here on BLF as well as in real life. Love
I refuse to believe this is all about the old-fashioned-thinking that women and technology could not match.

My greatest concern is that I could accidentally hit one of these “alert buttons” when quickly scrolling through the threads on my tablet. Facepalm

@Jerommel: noticing what is happening to the earth is not political and Gus Speth is not a politician. Even ignoring facts or embracing them isn’t, that is a human thing. It is a weird world for scientists these days.

I was afraid you were gonna say that.
But you’re wrong.
Environmental fear porn is pushed for the globalist agenda.
Especially the CO2 and global warming narrative is ambiguous at best.
Meanwhile the powers that shouldn’t be are f***ing around with weather control techniques, of which the chem trails are very visible.
As for scientists, those who go against the globalist narrative get little to no platform in the globalist owned media.
It’s also a matter of funding, of course.
So your “facts” are not facts, they are opinions.
Not saying mankind should not take care of their planet, ofcourse.
But where your signature is also wrong, is hat it tries to blame the people, and not the industries and governments who only care about money.
It’s one of those typical white / western guilt things.

So yes, it is definitely political and politically motivated.

EDIT:
Oh, i see you took it down.
Okay.
I could live with it, but i’m glad it’s gone.

no comment (except as said, it is a weird age for scientists to live in, as if The Enlightenment never happened)

You should scrutinize your seemingly blind faith in lab coats and suits & ties in the media.
Now you suggest those who stopped following their mind controllers are dumb..
No offence, Djozz, but it’s time to wake up and see that EVERYTHING is political.
Look into Agenda 21, Agenda 2030, the Kalergi Plan, Marxists Globalism, the religion of the power elites.
They even weaponized the term “conspiracy theory” to dismiss anything that goes against their agendas.
It works..
The establishment only cares about themselves, and they have a propaganda machine Goebbels would have wet dreams about.

Uhm, yes, that’s a very political post, i guess…
But sometimes these things are more important than forum rules i.m.o.
I feel i’m obliged to comment and motivate my position.

“It’s easier to convince people of a lie than to convince them they have been lied to.”
(Mark Twain, probably)

How much worse is it when the control the media, the money and even education..

If it matters, I thought the sig was a worthwhile message, a depressing but insightful comment on the modern world… that today’s most important and most difficult task is less about solving engineering problems and more about improving human behavior.

Not that anyone asked me. It just seemed an odd thing to take offense to.

Shades of discussions defending/blaming cigarettes/smokers ….. with rights and opinions ultimately victimized by history and consequences ?
