How’s the tint and beam profile?

I like it. It’s my idea of a perfect “neutral white”, and pretty floody. My wife is not really into flashlights (yet) but she does like this one.

So was playing around with the bezel again, planned to polish it to a mirror shine but didn’t like how it was turning out.

Decided to take a red scotch bright pad to it for more of a brushed/machined finish. Will probably live on my FW3T and it matches better than on the FW3A imo.

The aluminum is a little lighter in color than the titanium in pics but in person it’s almost identical.

Just ordered an FW3C. Does anyone think it’s possible to form a penny into the shape of the tail button? Don’t know if it would deform too much if I could make a steel die and press a penny into the right shape. Thoughts?

Not sure if it is possible (could be), but I think it’s a cool idea.

Great lights and mods, the only aspect that would irritate me personally is the rabbit Wink

I have to disagree. If I can’t get TK Special buttons, the rabbit button is a cool alternative.

Flashed an updated version of Anduril and swapped in some LH351D dogfarts into my newly arrived blue FW3A

Thanks for the comparison photo. That really highlights the difference in beam between those emitters.

Absolutely. The LH351Ds are extremely floody compared to the SST-20s the FW3A come stock with.

I purchased a couple used FW3As —One had a couple nicks/etc — decided to bead blast and polish it—-I had been wanting to build a Triple with a mix of LEDs—I went with a
SST 20 4K / XP-G3 4K / LH351D 3.5K combination —- tint seems to be pretty nice (on wall so far) — I compared it to another FW3A with LH351D 4Ks — seems to be slightly more Rosey and have a slight bit mor throw—won’t know anything till the night comes

Don’t those LEDs have very different forward voltages?

Yes they do —- seems to be working fine — I would imagine the higher forward voltage is regulating the others—I’m not sure

I’ve purchased 7 total. So easy to reflash and make it your own. I’ve Evilbayed off several lights to fund these. So far, my daily carry has proved to be waterproof and absorbed lots of drops and concrete rash. Sincere thanks to EVERYONE involved in the development of this torch. I tend to use things for long periods of time. Even with a failure, I don’t believe there is too much I couldnt fix or improvise a replacement part for.

Did you change the anodization? Could be the lighting, but that looks to be hard anodized.

This light doesn’t have any third party drivers available right now. It’s designed to run three LEDs in parallel all at once, so the multicolored board you linked wouldn’t really work.
