My trusty & much-loved H>M>L ThorFire TG06S. It's been in my pocket for years; a cell-sucker of absolute reliability, pocket patina was satisfying. As close to a AA vampire as I would want, as it would ultimately start only on L when the cell was at ~0.8v, giving plenty of warning that the cell was almost kaput.
I didn't necessarily use it every day, but I would often dip a hand into the pocket of my street clothes for a "stuff count"; should always be 4 things there - TG06S, pocket knife, 'Granny Glasses' (readers) in a slim aluminum tube, pocket pen.
Not leaving the house for days at a time over the last few months caused me to often dress in junk clothes all day for days at a time when working on bikes in the basement shop. I didn't usually put my pocket stuff in a pocket when in the shop. When I got ready to leave the house a couple of weeks ago, the TG06S was missing. I've taken the house apart looking for it, in and under furniture, in dark recesses in the shop, rearranged desk clutter, laundry, tool chests, etc., etc., etc. I guess it's wherever those individual socks go when they end up missing during sock matching.
I have a NIB TG06S that now has taken up residence in my pocket. While functionally identical & insufferably pristine, it just ain't the same...
If I find the TG06S I'll start a new thread about 'What You Found Today You Thought Was Lost'.
Anything recently discovered mysteriously missing from your routine stuff?
A classic red Mini MagLite with TTS Phillips LED drop-in. Discovered missing from the draw-of-disused-doom.
Won't really be missed, but was a relic from my childhood Cub-scout days which was subsequently upgraded to LED just to keep it operating (or maybe because my fingers got too big to fumble with the spare-bulbs under the tail spring!)
Also 'mislaid' a Victorinox 'Executive' red-scaled. Was a pocket carry for when I couldn't (legally - UK!) carry a multitool or larger/locking knife.
That is the only 74mm SAK still in their current range, 3-layers nice tool selection. Had to resort to my Mini-Champ or LM Squirt until found or replaced.
Funny you started this thread on the same day I discovered these items vanished. Do you have an alibi for the night of the 24th?! hehe.
Thought a Wurkkos FC11 was lost a week ago, tore apart the house, car, BOB, all the flashlight displays/shelves.
Really bugged me cause I love that 351 pure creamy white emitter. And only have one, usually I am like Noah, 2 of everything.
Finally remembered it has magnetic tailcap.

I have OCD when it comes to losing stuff. A few months ago I lost one of my Swiss army knives (usually in my laptop bag). I searched everywhere. It turned up in the recycling bag I keep in the back seat. I’m pretty sure it fell out of the laptop bag one night when I had to make a panic stop due to someone running a stop light.
I spent like 3 hours lookinf for a battery terminal brush, like for a car battery.
Finally said screw it. Spent the five bucks at the auto parts store.
Cleaned the battery posts.
And then went to put it away.
Right next to to TWO OTHERS I already had.
Harrumph!

Last time I lost that little sucker it turned up with the pop up photo box right where I left it I guess.
Hate when you need something and then your mind “sees it” a million places other than the one it is really hiding in.
I’m convinced I live in a section of spacetime where the barrier between dimensions is rather flimsy, as I have things disappear then reappear on a constant regular basis.
Now wherenahell’s my multimeter? I’d buy cheapo meters by the pairs or triples, and I can’t find even a damned one of ’em.
Committed to find the gf a good keychain light. Found her a used maratac copper aaa (nichia!! Lucky broad indeed! )
It arrived and had better tint than most of my lights, go figure. And of course, she loved it, darn, i wouldve taken one for the team and begrudgingly taken it myself… said she “liked the color!” “It’s not blue”. Ya, it’s a real light, not garbage b*h
Then it goes missing off the keys! She’s like, “oh it’s been gone at least since yesterday” WTF, why aren’t we combing the neighborhood? So i go retracing all the dog walks and store walks. Nothing.
Two more days later snd I’m starting to get over her losing her flashlight, that was such a good light…i park my car halfway in the red by accident, in front of my building and i step on it in the grass when i go to repark! Copper had continued darkening (was already dark) snd looked like dog dook! Haha i almost didn’t tell her i found it! What a lucky find that could’ve been for someone!
Needless to say, it’s got a much beefier split ring on it now, and is a back up for a new more expendable massdrop brass!
Funny to find this topic I’d been wondering who to tell!
I went to a car wash to vacuum and wash our family van, emptied everything to clean the inside. It was very hot that day and I was in a hurry. A few months later we needed the camera and could not find it. Well, it was not still at the car wash, bye bye $1200 Cannon 35mm camera, several lenses including a 80 x 200 mm zoom and several undeveloped rolls of film.

I was checking the batteries in my wife’s emergency flashlight (car) and went to check mine…
Obviously my light wasn’t there, I had been keeping my old Fenix PD32 in there along with about a dozen primaries until my state changed a few laws and property crime exploded. I remembered looking for a good hiding place but couldn’t remember what I settled on, I remembered trying a few spots and decided even a drug addled bonehead would find it. I was about to get into disassembling a part of the car I have used before when I remembered feeling like it wouldn’t be good enough.
I stopped there and went back in the house to think it over and check out other places where I would have put the light. An hour later, several trips back and forth to the car and all I had discovered was that I was also missing a PD35
So I slowed it down again and started thinking about what was usually in the car before Covid 19. 3 bags that were constantly going back and forth between my car, office and home weren’t there. Laptop bag searched again, PD35 found in a pocket I’d forgotten about. The other big bag gets searched again and it’s missing the smaller 3rd bag where I had kept more batteries etc. Rechecked the 3 or 4 places where I have flashlights and related gear and found the missing 3rd bag and the PD32.
Conclusion… I have too many dang lights and OCD f’ing sucks.
Top of the line Canon digital camera. Looked everywhere, last I remember I’d gone up to get some shots of Tower Rock. Camped out, cameras gone. I have one of the lenses and possibly a charger.
