I can’t find this battery on the internet, is it new, or is this just labeling?
I ordered a black, protected, 4000mah King Kong and received it labeled as 4500 mah, is this a good thing, a great battery, and what does the EVVA mean?
Yes, Evva puts the label on them and adds the protection circuit, the cell underneath is the gold King Kong ICR26650.t I didn't even notice the labeling change! I'll have to update my pictures. King Kong cells are rated at 4000 mAh, but HKJ has tested them at 4300+ mAh. I don't know if I've ever seen one test at 4500mAh.
Their cells are good, but not Panasonic or Sanyo good. Unfortunately Panasonic doesn't make 26650's. Many of us wish they would as the capacity would be amazing.
I've done 7.5A without tripping it, but EVVA told me that they only rate them at 6A. This has 3 MOSFETs so it should handle 7+ but I don't think that 13A is realistic at all.
What battery is inside it? It's from China. DLG makes a couple 26650's that look like they may put out enough amps, but I can't find anything that says what the capacity it. The Tensai LIC26650 has 4500 mAh and hits 9A, but that's still a big 4A short. I can believe 4500 mAh, and I can believe 13A, but I can't believe 4500 mAh AND 13A without some proof.
