It looks as if the new version has less white smd leds on the side. Only 3 white smd led for the side flood mode. One review mentions that the older version was brighter because it had more white smd leds and didn’t have the red warning leds on the side. Hmm. This could be an excellent light if it had a solid pill and rubber side grip.
Can you tell us if the red leds are replaceable and what type they are. I think I can use the as a rear bike light.
3 red LEDs are already quite bright. However, it lack the throw because of the diffuser. You can check out my teardown here.
