I’ve been busy dismantling laptop batteries and I’ve found some cells which I can’t identify.
They’re 18650 unprotected with a translucent red wrapper and are printed HCVFIH5 with 082532 printed underneath, slightly (1mm) raised positive pip with six vent holes and a white plastic ring loosely held on by the wrapper.
I’ve tried Google with no luck.
I’d just like to know out of academic interest if they’re a known brand or cheap knock offs. They came from a non-original Dell C6xx battery.
Cheers

PS SWMBO has suggested I put up a shelf for my collection!
Out of the Dell battery pack (possibly a replacement) that I took apart to get these cells, both read zero V so I recycled them at our local store - didn’t even dream of trying to charge them. The other 6 out of the pack read 3.75V or so. These seem to have have charged OK on my I4 V2, I just have to dig around in the shed to get my decent test gear out then check them properly.
The other pack I took apart was original Dell with 8 Panasonic cells, same thing 2 bad and 6 good.
Nothing like gx on my battery.
