Does anyone know whether the USB-C port supports USB Power Delivery for charging from a laptop power brick (that won’t charge USB 2.0 devices)?

It will probably not be using USB-C PD 2.0.

That would cost quite a bit of money.

Also, didn’t you know that PD 2.0 chargers, if they don’t find a PD 2.0 receiver, will just default to 5V 3A, which the light support?

TLDR: No USB-C PD in it, but just regular USB-C 3A charging.

I’m sad to hear that, but also not really surprised.

I only have one USB-C power brick, so my experience is definitely limited, but this one won’t charge my phone and tablet which are both USB-C 2.0.

edit: wow, apparently it does charge USB 2.0 devices :partying_face:
It just takes a few seconds before it switches on, and I never waited that long before, this is great.

This is all that has been said.

Typically for lights like these, that can draw a lot of power, a high capacity battery is not the best choice. I high drain would probably give the most use at high power levels.

Hello my dear friends!

Due to the dragon boat festival my sample is about a week late (its the first NW A21) but should arrive before friday this week.
Many asked to see a short review before they pull the trigger.

So we decided to extend the deadline of the groupbuy to the 27th of June 2018.
That will be the last day you can enter the groupbuy
The 29th of June is the last day of accepted payments!

Wuben limited the first run of NW A21 to 50 pcs (they will send them first half of July)
CW A21 orders will be sent as soon as they are on stock (first week of July)

If the demand for NW is high enough (50+), Wuben promised me a second run.

I hope with this change we give many more the chance to participate without the need to wait with the production of the already ordered lights.
