Big difference - stepless dimming, as described on the BG page, works like Narsil or Anduril: Click ON, click OFF, when ON, click&hold for ramping, 2X click for turbo, 3X click for strobe, 4X click for lock-out. Only thing missing is click&hold from OFF to get to moon/lowest mode. The infinite variable has to initiate with a click&hold, then you have to release the switch, then click&hold again to ramp up and down.
As described, the "Stepless Dimming" seems to be a stand-alone mode of operation, while the infinite variable works with the General Mode operation.
The infinite variable on mine has memory, turns ON to the last level used .
Got in the copper EDC18 today - wow! It's a beauty!! The blue SS trim adds to the look. Threads are smooth like butta! Very glad I went for it, just wish I ordered the copper GT Micro with it
I notice that a number of times, likely due to translation services, ‘stepless dimming’ and ‘infinite variable’ generally refer to the same thing (if coming from a ‘not-so-good’ translation). The original wording in the original (Chinese) language might be worded slightly differently resulting to different English translation, but in the original language, they likely refer to the same thing… Just my own opinion here though.

re: announcement of freeme/1thedeals ceasing Amutorch promotion —- I’m not sure I understand what it means — does that mean “vendor” (presuming it is BG) will now invalidate all the promotional discount codes for their products on the vendor’s online platform?
