FW3A, what does the rubber ring at the end of the black tube, do?
sort of like an o ring, but may be more of a thin, white rubber band…
is it critical for insulation?
if it was lost or failed, what would happen?
how come there isn’t another one at the top (near the driver end)?
wle.
To keep the signal tube from wearing/rubbing on the battery tube ledge…

so you might think there would also be one at the other end too…?
where is it supposed to be?
i may have moved mine inadvertently…
it’s currently at the switch end, which has a flare on that end of the tube
almost seems to make more sense, if it was up near the driver
i might wrap mine with electrical tape at the other end, would that be bad?

No…there isn’t a wear point really the tube should stay centered, and make contact with the driver on the end only, you CAN wrap some Kapton tape (or thin tape) around the end of the signal tube to keep it centered to the driver if your worried…
