Looking for a good zoomable flashlight and other general questions

I'm also finding myself looking for something similar: multi-mode z2f 1xAA or 14500, preferably w/o a tactical crown/tail.

Is there a multi-mode Sipik SK68 or something similar (but w/o the tactical crown)? I also noticed Small Sun ZY-A3 and A29 (3 mode on both), but folks don't seem to like Small Sun's?

Are the UltraFire K41, KINGHON 1AA Cree Q3 or C78 on DX considered better?

(I kept getting DOA's from LightTake so I won't want to get from 'em for a long time...)

Which ones are the better choices?

I think spamming here does not help you nor us in a post regarding other type of flashlights.

In the price range and lens diameter you are talking about here, I have only tested the X2000 (c30) and the SA-28, both are very similar if not equal, the problem with both (and most of the rest) is the Star is not touching any metal but on the edges, I improved it on both adding some aluminium underneath and thermal paste compound.

From the ones available now, I would like the new EDI-Ts and YEZls at least on their 18650 versions.

This is the YEZL I mean:

And regarding the edi-t I do not know why the link is broken now from dealextreme, but I mean the P14,so

here you got the link to the manufacturer instead:

There is also the EDI-T p19, similar to the c78 but with 18650:

I do not know how they perform, but at least they look better built than others.

The 18650 zoomable's do look quite decent build. Seems it's hard to find a good AA zoomable (multi-mode/non-tactical crown/tail...) now... .

Yes, there aren´t many available for AA/14500, here you got the ones I know off:

In that size the most recomended everywere is the sipik SK68, and you also have the C78 which has also a good reputation and is not a tactical one.

There is also the Romisen RC-29 which is a twisty, and the smallsun zy-c85 with a bit smaller lens but nice design.

All of them can be found in DX at least.

After unpacking and powering up my latest zoomer just this morning I have to recommend the Small Sun ZY-C10-S
