I like the 3 buttons in the way that i like instant access to strobe, but then again on a light this size it dont really matter for me, but for a EDC sized light i would love it as a strobe in the face are my only chance to get the upper hand in the case i need that.
A 100 mm parabola should give a bigger throw than say the MF02 ??
a about 95mm OD reflector and 100mm head size makes the light expensive as the production is not cheap
also those lights are not produced in the tens of thousand pieces a year like ECD lights
I don't mod my lights, so I try to buy quality. But I don't like the exuberant prices.
I complain about prices a lot, but that stops when the light arrives.
I wonder when the feds will do something about my addiction. Some day I may get in trouble for rolling a car that has projector headlights, after pick-pocketing the bulbs :D
the UI is quite easy and with stored Moon to left button, medium in main button and turbo to right button the control is super easy and intuitive
one big advantage over the MF02 is a true sub lumen moonlight, so if you are at night in the woods and use a classic paper map you can switch to moonlight to read things and then click back to medium or turbo
The 89mm wide reflector is very good, way better machining than on the MF02 or Klarus G35
MF02 is modded with NW LED from 464 to 538kcd
only one tiny spot with a chip rest of the reflector is pretty smooth
Lol when I ordered my K60. I regret it straight away. Kept telling myself I shouldn’t spent that much. But when it came I was glad I got it.
I use it a lot compared to my other big lights. Now acebeam don’t make lights with control ring anymore. Don’t think I’ll buy another light from them
First impressions are very good. The reflector is very smooth and the spot is very well focused. On par with the TN42. I’ll also have my review up hopefully this week with all the measurements.
The memory with the extra buttons and momentary turbo with a hold of the main switch are great. You can also switch from momentary turbo to constant turbo by releasing and pressing the switch again.
I would hope that the two extra buttons would be completely independent from the main switch memory though. Now the main switch recalls the previous mode even if it was activated by the memory switches.
Say you have the left button as moon and the right one as turbo. You turn the light on with the main switch and cycle up to mid. Now the mid is memorized if you turn the light off and switch it back on with the main switch. If you activate moon by pressing the left switch and turn it off using the same left switch, the middle button turns the light on moon, not mid.
This behavior can be bypassed by shutting the light off from memorized moon by pressing the main switch twice to first go to mid and then turning if off. Now the main switch recalls mid. But it only works if you turned the light on with the main switch with a different memorized mode, not the memory switch.
