I received my Dry triple xml flashlight a couple of weeks ago and felt it was a little bare. So I came up with a little design and decided to send it out to lazerdesigns and get it tricked out. I also did a simple ceiling light bounce test and measured it with my android. A little crude but you get the idea. Here it is, my pimped dry:
Now for some readings. Images are as follows- Big Girtha, Fenix tk35, Jetbeam BC40
Wow, awesome case for your lights! My gf would think i'm even more crazy if I did something like that...but I really really like the idea, so maybe one day, haha. Great looking custom light you have there!
Also, didn't know there was a light meter on Android...might have to look into that.
Just go on Android market and type in light meter in search engine. I have three of them on my phone. They are all free. I have never tested them against a real light meter but when you want to some ceiling bounce tests they are perfect. They all seem to give the same readings. Thanks
Hey, I have been a flashaholic about 4 years. I do some light building ( switching out led, drivers etc.) with some rudeamentery soldering. First thrower was a tiablo (t9 I believe) and havent looked back from there.I try to own a flashlight from all the different leds: p4,q3,q5,r2,xpg,xml,ssc, sst 50 and 90. I have a bunch of recorded flashlight beams from most of my lights. Every store that has flashlights , I look at them. Drives the wife crazy. She seems to put up with lights though. After all I give her pampered chef, so its a trade off. Thanks
nice collection. my sk4g must have a cheap light sensor, it maxes out at 15000 lux with any of my torches, and jumps from 6 to 5000 to 9000 to 15000. but the s4g is junk anyway. the apps say max lux is 120000 on my phone but ive yet to see it
