Q8, PMS SEND TO THOSE WITH ISSUES BLF soda can light

Thanks for making the compilation despite not feeling well, I hope for more video’s from Barry

So cool to see them taking shape.

How can they be so affordable? The raw material, cnc, labor… It’s amazing that this project is coming to light. Thank you The Miller and team!

Is that a CNC? Group Buy on the machine?

strange. I would think it is cheaper to use a long bar to cut the heads from in the cnc. To cut it before the CNC would add human operating time but perhaps it will safe some material. But the separate heads had to be spanned in the CNC which produces more outcut material.

Everyone has a style of doing things, and virtually everyone will argue their way is best. As long as they can keep quality up and price down, how does it matter what gum they chew during the process?

Nice but…

Get well soon! er… now! You’re the Q8 torch-bearer!

Thank you!

Saturday night a very heavy fog rolled in so I took a few lights out to play.

If you’re wondering what a Q8 beam looks like in the fog, here’s a sneak preview.

First shot from roughly a foot away.

Here’s the same shot cropped a bit so you can see the water vapor more clearly in the air.

This last shot was from about 8 feet away. It was very hard to look at even from this angle!

Fun! :+1:

Dang! This is going to be great!

Big band saw can be automatic and cut this aluminium very, very fast.
While small cnc lathe have too small spinder through hole to take whole bar inside.

Very nice to see things getting shape
Thanx for the video TM! Finally after all the effort the team put in the Q8, it is almost done!

They’ll be doing that for awhile!

Thanks for the compilation. Get well soon!

I like these videos very much! I hope we can get some from Lumintop making the GT too.

Cool photos, thanks for sharing!

I’m in!

Nice pics J-Dub74!
Awesome looking beam in the fog

Feeling better already

Please add me to the Q8 list! Thanks, Charlie

Regardless of how they are machined, what ever aluminum is shaved off will, of course, be recycled back to rod form to be used again. Dale I have to say I like the gum analogy. I know that a lot of the smaller flashlight and other small electronic device manufacturers often share portions of a much larger manufacturing building or factory. Does anyone know if Thorfire does this, or do they have their own facility?

LOL, I was thinking of this exact video. I loved Glove and boots!

Ok i am number 1405 that could take awhile

Lol VVS! that was funny.

@themiller thanks for changing the title…
