Hi I have just purchased a Sofirm SP70 and am looking for 2 x 26650 batteries… preferably HD 26650 cells
I understand they have to be button top and unprotected (feel free to correct me)
I found these
Any good ??
Cheers in advance

These would be your best bet for high drain and very high capacity:

Found them on Ebay UK for a few quid more (Torchy the Battery Boy) just because I wanted them before the torch arrived lol
Protected button top 18650s worked for me. That was all I had at the time that was long enough. Now I have flat top 26650s w neomag for spacer. Working well. Will likely get some button top unprotected 26650s eventually.
@peg matite, have you thought about using something like this instead:

Hadn’t seen that before. Thanks. Flexibility versus solder blobs. Can still use the cells in single-cell lights needing flat tops. I had them (green Shockli 26650s) in a couple of D4Ss. Now I have them in the SP70 and rotate a black Shockli 26650 amongst the D4Ss.
I hope thick enough though. Only 2.5 mm. I may give it a try. Mag adds about 4 to 5 mm.
