This sounds like a first spinn-off from their Q8 adventure. A very well featured light with some Q8 capability.
It sounds like that in the ramping setting there’s no option to start in lowest mode, unless that was where you ended last time? I think that a modern light should have direct access to lowest (and highest).
I wish for a tube style Thorfire light with just an electronic switch and full Q8 UI.
I wish I had not fried the driver with my resistor mod so I could test that more.
If I am not mistaken you can go straight to the turbo , or highest level , with a quick double click from any level in the ramping?
I could be wrong though because I have slept a few times since and have so many lights that it gets hard to remember which one does what sometimes……lol
Thanks……The silver one is a BLF A6 that I took the Anodizing off of and polished out , leaving the Ano in the lateral lines , threads and a little bit in the knurling. Did it because the Ano was getting pretty rough looking from a lot of use.
Great review, I also enjoyed the video, especially the music part! :+1:
I have this light, there’s no double click to Turbo from ramping or anywhere else.
The only way to start directly to Turbo or Low is with memory - where you ended last time, either in ramping or the pre-set group.
When charging the indicator light colors work in reverse order until the cell is fully charged and the indicator turns Green.
I have this light and there is no charging port anywhere on this light. I have searched over and over and over Are u saying yours has a charging port on it?
Much appreciated. If the driver is still out of the light, could you tell me what the markings are on the chip indicated by the picture below? If you’ve already assembled it, don’t bother. At ~$20 I should really just get one
Edit: Didn’t realize how hard that was to read. Picture says “Chip with these leads?”
Zifzif …. After looking at it under my lighted magnifying glass carefully , there are no numbers or letters on that particular module at all. The top of the chip is totally blank and has one little indention in it at the corner like a partial hole and that’s it.
Those buggers… It irritates me when manufacturers do that. Thanks for checking, though. May have to pick one up and see if I can determine what architecture they’re using.
