Post #122. NarsilM will do 4 modes, but I much prefer smooth ramping - pretty incredible in this light, and 12K is way under the max in mine , but leaving in the stock LED's, 12K might be a reasonable expectation.
I bought the bare PCB from OSHPark, then bought the parts, reflowed the parts, dnld'ed the firmware. Not sure how that works overseas though, or if you are at that level.
I found something odd with the behavior of my MT03 II, at Turbo level, one of the emitters does not emit light properly. I have also a video of this happening (please read video description as well).
Could you please give me hints, what could cause a behaviour like this?
i had exactly the same behavior !!! one of the XHP was not properly driven.
I changed the driver board with a TA FET driver and it works better.
Please contact LEXEL he can solder you a FET driver with the so good ramping firmware NarsilM. Sell price less than 20€.
Hello guys, I recently got the MT03 and there is a defect on my AR coating. Just wondering if anyone can help me on how to remove the lens… I’m trying to contact GB and HaikeLite to see if they can send me the new lens and I fix it myself… Since I heard shipping the light from US to CN will be like $60….
The light is working properly but that defect (about 20~25% area are not coated/ or doesn’t have purple reflection).
I just gave that a try and it does twist and moved! Not going to open it as you said.
Thank you very much! Now I know this is a easy fix with a new a new lens.

Any helpful hints to a complete newbie here on how to get access to the driver on this Haikelite mt03? bought one about 3 months ago… it lasted about 15 minutes of run time and, apparently, the driver is bad… Banggood just gave me the run around - worthless customer service and replacement policy - Haikelite sent me a new driver… but now i need to figure out how to replace it! what tools needed? any help out there?
as a complete newbie, good luck. I’m in the same boat. I have the light and just purchased a custom driver for it, will be here shortly. Take the head of the light off, you will see a metal retaining ring with 2 small holes in it. Use some needle nose pliers, get a good grip in those small holes, and turn counter clockwise … it will unscrew. The driver board is under that. LOOK under the driver board, there are some 10 wires that need to be unsoldered. Good luck on that, those wires are so short u can hardly get at them. If u remove them, replace the old driver with the new one, making sure you solder the wires back into their correct place Better find someone who can do this for you, someone skilled in this stuff - very easy for them.
