will P60 Surefire copper quad shelf find into the this host ?
P60 head size
inner head tube 22mm
max inner diameter 24,5mm
lenght from bottom head to glass 33mm
(from screws - there is no shelf, a spring is hold by battery tube)
Brass Pill + reflector size that fits to host
lenght pill + reflector (wo spring) 27,5mm
max reflector diameter 26mm
Body reflector diameter 21,75mm
I dont see any reason why quad drop-in wont fit.
But I think this surface on top of the head is the only reasonable pad to transfer negative to the pill. If you can sand the ano down to the bare aluminium, it should work well.
kiriba-ru, would it be possible to make a short 18350 tube for the Convoy C8? I can’t find one anywhere and I like short flashlight versions like the GT mini.
Hi kiriba, I would need:
2 x P60 Surefire copper quad shelf (Convoy retaining ring), 22.00mm – $12
1 x Maglite D kit Aluminium drop-in+copper pill, fit 30mm driver – $12
1 x Driver brass adapter: 20/22mm press fit – $3
1x 17mm with retaining ring – $4/$7
I have PMed Cereal_killer, but also need to leave a message here to make it clear.
I dont ask any money and not ready to pay, I have 3 sets of wheels for BLF members. If you have an idea about other materials you will need, I will try to help with them too. The way you will build it doesnt matter (for example I dont have welder). Just make cool photos and video of the process and working machine.
Your C8TT triple heatsink head shows “$35 shipped”. Does that mean shipping is included? Another question: What diameter and height does the Copper spacer Ultrafire F13 have?
I thought about using the copper spacer for a triple or quad build with a Chinese flashlight. But if shipping is included with this head I might as well get a Convoy C8 with the nice option of swapping the heads then. The price is reasonable and I really like the design with very deep heatsinking grooves and the SS bezel.
Here’s my C8TT sucking down nearly 30amps like a champ. You guys need to go buy up all his stuff right now so I can convince him to make more cool things for me to play with.
