Excellent! Great tune. RIP Jon Lord. You were a master of the keyboards.
Speaking of memory, I remember just about everything when I was young. Being 66 years old, my current memory isn’t that good anymore. So please, if I repeat myself in a thread, forgive me. I’m sure you older folks understand where I’m coming from.
Nice version of CIT :sunglasses:
I had quite a few UFO and MSG albums, but i have not gotten them restocked on CD after i was so foolish to sell all my albums ( one of the more stupid things i ever did )
Jammin at the youth club we played a mean CIT when we got one guy to jam along on the keyboard.
Also did a pretty mean instrumental version of Van Halen “Jump” though in my book that was too new Van Halen, still rocked it on the drums.
Last week i felt a sudden urge to listen to “Carlos”, Santana of course.
And for some strange reason i felt like pairing that with The Police first album from 77
Thanks Robowski that reminded us of the Doobie Brothers.
I will never forget their first song that impressed me - Long Train Running. I was about fourteen then.
I had it, and “Listen to the Music” on my Tesla tape recorder.
In fact, they were one of my first recordings that I made my own by a friend. Seems illegal from the current point of view.
I love the Doobie Brothers. They bring back so many fond memories of a late friend who passed away this past March at the age of 65. He’s the one who turned me on to them.
A long time ago when I was a student, I and my friends were playing in a casino.
I remember that I had lost about $4K at one time.:money_mouth_face:
After all, I managed to get back, I bought a golden Longines, and never went to a casino anymore.
This song and the quoted refrain were my favorites then.
Agree great thread, many good memories of some forgotten bands. As I have not posted before I will mention my all time favourite band Little Feat with Lowell George, well worth a listen for those who may not know them.
