Tom, someone said that if you put the pocket clip on the light and hook it over one of the headbands legs it works really good to control the lightâs angle. Simply twist the light in the pocket clip to adjust angle.
I didnât try it on the one I got for my Son-in-Law, I simply swapped the head band with branded one that worked better before I gave it to Gage for Christmas. He loves it by the wayâŠ
Ooops - I read about the clip with the headband thing a while back - my post above was pretty old. I'm keeping the clip on now all the time. Actually if you want to effectively tailstand the light to point the beam up, it balances well on the clip, so another good use for it.
Received my PL47 yesterday. Getting familiar now, but the headband is kinda joke. Not only the flashlight doesnât fit the holder, also straps fall off the plastic holder.
Anybody can share a link to right headband? Not sure if the one from Skilhunt h03 would workâŠ
I think we had the same batch. Also had PL47 with strong magnet on tailcap. But another PL47 with black tailcap had an extremely weak magnet (too weak).
Very unlucky with my PL47s.
Hereâs a short story, tried to write it totally neutral.
My first PL47 with SST-20 4000K paid on Dec2018: 3 out of 4 ledâs were working. Glad that I have received replacement head after 1,5month. Summing up the awaiting time I could start using after 3 months since purchase.
The replaced head worked fine. For a week. When I activated turbo I saw after a minute clear light power drop. I thought temperature management worked. But not. One of LEDs stopped working.
Again I was left with 3 out of 4 LEDs working. I wrote to Neal. And until today: zero reposponse.
The funny thing is meanwhile I had won a GAW from tatasal, so I also have a third piece of PL47 with XP-L HI 6500K. But Iâm kinda fed up with this light, so it lies deep in my drawer (PM me if youâre interested).
Iâm wondering whatâs wrong with these lights. Is it messed temperature management or these SST-20 have some deffect? Thatâs a real pity because I find the light very interesting and useful. Well⊠waiting for another 21700 fancy headlight, hopefully with better QA management.
The awful switch boot was the failure point on mine. It started ripping apart from light use so I smashed the lens and salvaged the 219Bs at least. I got luckier with mine than many people here on BLF though, even having been in the first batch.
