Banggood asked me for pictures and video of the problem, I sent it to him and they told me to wait 48 hours to see how they solved it.
It has been 4 days since the last message, so if I don’t get an answer I’ll talk to Paypal to return it.
Earlier this week I ordered one at Banggood. I hope the switch will work fine.

seems it depends, if they have still early batches left u might get a faulty switch, if newer version should be ok, goodluck.

With only 19 reported switch issues out of like a 1000 lights, I’d say your odds are very low to get a problematic one.

/\ I totally agree. Switch issues are very random & far between. As Jason mentioned, 19 reported of around 1000 is only 1.9% … if I did my math right .
In the big scheme of things… that is not bad at all.
Sucks though to be one of the 1.9… just sayin.

Yeah.
I’ve also discovered the source of the problem: the switch cover doesn’t fit well in its stock position, meaning switch presses are unlikely to register well, if at all.
Just rotating it a bit fixes the problem entirely.
I would prefer the issue having it fixed stock though. 1,9% is high still.
Thank you for the answers. I’ll just wait until the light arrives and than we will see.

You think so?
I wonder if the ones who got a bad switch could mention if their switch cover looked rotated.
It should look like this.

Yeah.
I’ve initially had the same problem a long time ago when I got the GT Mini.
It wasn’t always registering clicks properly.
So, being the curious guy that I am, I removed the switch, rotated it by 1/4 of a turn(90 degrees), and the problem was fixed. Not matter how weak or how strong the press was, the click always registers now.

It’s possible that the problem comes from the switch cover. To press well it has to be totally horizontal like in this photo:
But in my case it’s not like that
The question is how trying to remove the switch cover without scratching or ruining it.

I have already placed it horizontally. First I removed the rubber switch and then the metal ring. It's impossible not to leave marks but they are hidden by the metal ring.
Tomorrow I will try it to see if it has been solved.

Does this mean Banggood didn’t accept liability and send you a replacement (head)?

Supposedly they are going to send me another one, but at the moment it’s not sent. That’s why I tried to find the problem.

Alex64, how do you remove the rubber cover first without ripping it?

Will there ever be other LED options for the GT mini? Or perhaps just the host for sale?
I would love 1 x GTmini with XPL2, and other with Flat White
