I agree with TK here. There doesn’t seem to be any reason for the clip to change, and the previous version was better:

• The new one doesn’t appear to fit very well. The ring area is wider and sticks out from the body of the light.
• Black paint has been added. We discussed black paint before. Most of us do not want black paint on the clip.

It’s like an unlabeled box of choclates… you never know what you’ve got till you bite into it.

I would rather have the silver clip like on the bunny button picture several pages ago. I’ll still buy it, but I’d like the silver clip better.

The clip won't stop me, but I won't be happy about it, if I ultimately receive lights with clips like the one pictured most recently. A shame; nobody told them there was anything wrong with the clips.

If anything, I get the impression it was probably added just because some other clips have a hole there. But it’s not a good place to put a hole. It doesn’t significantly decrease weight, but it would significantly increase the chance of snagging while trying to clip the light onto something.

Remember, lest we forget; the episode of a couple weeks ago. It was based on pictures.

Maybe (hopefully), just maybe (fingers crossed while hoping); that is the case with these pictures. Maybe they were not the most current picture or, if they were; maybe the clip “color” is not as bad as it appears. However, no mistaking the hole.

We can always hope……

The illustration on the boxes in the recent photos also show a hole in the clip. If they’ve already printed all the boxes it seems like the clip decision may be final.

Undoubtedly true.

I know this was answered, but i don’t remember the answer; if the clip ring sticks out from the body of the light, or is in some other way undesirable, can it be removed? Will the light function without it? I would personally prefer just an O ring in the gap to that clip.
