I couldn't agree more. I did feedback to BG today but i believe it is already too late to make changes to it. Wish they have shared the demo to me earlier.
According to LEXEL's AUX board diagram, brightness of the LEDs can be adjusted with the trimmers. Maybe we can disable from there? We will get LEXEL to explain on this later.

I agree, one color at time, if all aux colors are on at the same time it will look hideous lol

Folks, joined the Interested list a few weeks ago. This will be my first Interested project I’ve participated in. Now that manufacturing has begun, what is the procedure from this point forward for participants? When it’s available, do we simply purchase from BG with a code? Are there other steps necessary to complete the process?

As others are stating, multi-colored options for the aux lights is fine if you have the ability to choose. But if the Disney Electric Parade effect is unacceptable if that’s the only option.
So no controls within the UI like on the D4S? That’s annoying. Not everyone has the rigs to flash firmware anytime they please.
This is getting less and less ‘Interesting’ as we learn more.
I think what Toykeeper is saying is that in the Anduril UI that the production light is coming with will have the ability to turn off the aux lights, by the way the D4S UI is only a lite version of Anduril, MF01S will have the full version so the UI should actually be better
They actually did consider an XP-L HI version of the light, I have a prototype with a mixed tint 5A / 1A that is quite nice.
They would have to increase the cost of the light for this though and after testing we found that the SST-20 provided almost the same lumens / throw so it was just a better option in this case considering the trade off in cost / performance to offer an XP-L HI version.

Agreed that there’s too much going on with the AUX lights (and this is coming from someone who loves the idea of AUX lights and what got me interested in this over the D18), and will probably get me to lose interest in its current state and go for something else.
Personally don’t see a need for 3 modes based on voltage since Anduril can show voltage. I can live with it having 3 modes in the end, but having 3 different colors at once looks bad IMO. Preferably just a single LVP mode. Something like one variant above 3.3v (but please no more than 2 different colors) and another variant (i.e. red) at 3.3v or below.
if it has Anduril then it has volt readout already, no need for the aux lights to show battery status imo

I also absolutely agree. Don’t mix up Aux light colors!!!
If they didn’t glue the bezel.

Terrible. Looks awful. I would prefer 1 color aux LEDs
they should not make such drastic multi-color aux leds without even asking, shame its just too much “bling-bling”…

If it hasn’t changed, the aux LEDs can be turned off in firmware. There are four modes: off, low, high, and blinking.
I generally set it to low when the main LEDs are off, or blinking when the light is locked.
that’s good news! I will be turning my Aux off because of the christmas lights

And let’s not forget you’d be getting more throw with the SST-20 5000k-6500k version.
With the XP-L HI, you’d be getting just a bit more lumens, but not nearly enough to actually matter.
