Absolutely beautiful, the machining is so very well done. I love the polished look, is there a clear anodize on that? Tip of the cap to you on pulling the entire project together, from inception to realizing the final piece, you should be very proud!!
I’m with DBSAR, am eagerly awaiting release of the group buy LT1’s, would love to see an LT1vn
Congratulations again, and thank you for such thorough detailed releases of your step by step processes, is quite fascinating to follow. Keep it up.
No clear anodized yet. Just Raw 7075. I plan just to keep these few Raw. Will provide some clear anodized in the next run instead.
Thank you for the support!
A loosen clicky retaining ring can give poor or no connection. In SLN I soldered the clicky to the copper retaining ring and this solves potential connection issue of a loosen ring. The copper retainer ring pressure now is mostly to hold the rubber boot tight against the tail cap wall for water resistant. A very loosen ring may let in water but it will no longer give connection issues as spring pressure from the light engine and the switch will always close the battery current path.
