Two batteries are always in series and there is no battery holder, so if I’m correct that would mean it depends on whether the positive terminal of a battery will make contact with its negative end.
You have to know your cells.
Sanyo GA are considered raised flat tops, not flat tops. If you look at them you can see they stick up and will make series contact.
I hate to say this, but your quite wrong. This particular flashlight is irrelevant. It only depends on the cells. If you have 2 of a particular cell you can see for yourself if they will make contact in series or not. Or better yet, take a single cell and a straight edge and see it the top extends above the wrapper.
Look at this picture, you see there is a black ring around the brass ? disc in the middle. This means the positive battery end needs to stick up a little bit. All button tops will work. All solder blobbed flat top will work. (The black ring is there for reverse polarity protection)

Christmas is around the corner. Chinese New Year is January 25th to February 8th.
BUT his package started moving on November 26th, almost 1 month ago! There is not any progress, very little at most. :person_facepalming:
I am thankful for his post it helped me solidify my decision regarding this light. He may have to wait until late February or March! Totally unacceptable from an American standard and point of view.
I know but still keep in mind that buying stuff from china just is what it is… tons of packages end of year, and also next year when chinese new year starts…
You think they are sending his packages between one office and another? I’ve never seen or heard of this happening. My assumption was the package was returned to the sender for some reason. I see this quite a lot and it’s happened to me a few times.
The tracking info is very confusing, but it looks like the first package was returned due a security concern. Maybe battery related? Hard to say.
So it looks like the package was sent again, but the 3rd party shipper sent it through a different mail hub or whatever hoping it would get through security and customs this time.
I guess we have to wait and see if it gets through.
I don’t think there is any battery, at least nowhere says it includes them, if they come… welcome…! eight 18650 would suit me very well.
But… BG sends flashlights that include batteries by SG and not by CN.
Perhaps the “security” problem is that the party has lost some apostate and they suspect that wants to flee hidden inside a Haikelite HT70.
