Me too…

Maybe some of you remember that today it’s been 40 years since we left a great rock personality.
Of course, I mean Bon Scott.

There is a lot of information. For those who are interested - here is a one of the good sites:

40 years, OMG :weary:

Yes 40, but they pass so fast, believe me… :person_facepalming:

I checked on random sites for “top 100 hard rock songs” and more than 70% (approximately) of the songs are over 40 years old. If you add the next 10 years, you will reach almost 100 percent.

sparkyDK, вecause, you have a good sense of music according to my understanding, you should know that.

One of the living legends…

Koko Taylor - I’m a woman

Hi Bonham,

I’m back on the forum after a long break…
With reference to Bon Scott, I live about 10km from the port of Fremantle, Western Australia where Bon grew up.
In honour of him they commissioned a statue of him in the harbour. We often went there for fish and chips but that all ended with the virus scare. I used to work with an old guy who was one of the top drummers in the local 60’s bands. He knew Bon well and used to give him drumming lessons.
Here is a link:

I don’t remember seeing that statue in 1997, though i did venture out back from the little hotel / B&B i stayed on for 2 days, then turned left along Riverside RD and followed it towards the harbor.
But i hope to be back in style soon and then i will see the statue as i will have plenty of time to explore AU, and not just a day and a half waiting for the ship i engaged May 8 1997 ( my first time as engineer on a ship )

Actually i hope to be back, and never leave again, but the whole matter are up to the lotto gods, otherwise i am not going anywhere a tank of gasoline cant take me.

Wellp, if anyone’s interested, “AC/DC: Let There Be Rock” (1980) is currently (ha! see what I did there?) making the rounds.
