That fin arrangement is sexy! Handle looks well thought out too.

Looking forward to your and VOB’s review. The idea of the best passive cooling is appealing! I wonder what the confirmed throw numbers will be.

Are the NW XHP70.2’s 5000k and 70 cri?

Is it possible Samsung 50E 21700’s with a slightly raised flattop might work without a solder blob or button top added?

I actually did not get confirmation on the NW that will be used in production come to think of it but 5000k 70cri was the plan in prototype stages. I assume it will not be changed unless they had supply issues.

I highly doubt that a flattop of any kind will work without removing the protection PCB on the carrier. Better off solder blobbing over removing that.

The wait is over!

There’s no reason why it can’t be close to 25,000 lumens. Also, with such large reflector wells, the throw should be 1370 meters. Thanks and congratulations to everybody who made this standout light possible!

This is bordering on insanity! :smiling_imp:
No keyring attachment?

Pending reviews, you can put me down for one light cannon!

Amazing. Subscribed

Update, very sad news, it seems my contact somehow got things very very mixed up.

The GT4 will ONLY support 18650 and NOT 21700. Seems they made a prototype of the 21700 at some point and that is what he thought was going into production. They are sticking with the 18650 version it seems though. (they are having a real hard time getting some components in, as we can see from the GT90 kits taking so long)

If anyone that placed an order wants to cancel since it does not support 21700 that can be done. Very sorry for this mix up, I was as excited as the rest of you lol.

On the bright side, unprotected button top 18650’s are a lot easier to find than unprotected button top 21700’s.

Tempting to say the least. Have an X70 on back order from Illumn for a month tomorrow, not sure if should cancel and order this; would love to see a review on this beast first though.

yeah, and a lot cheaper.

Neal actually just found a source for 40t button tops when we found out about the mistake lol.

Speechless… Texas Ace I have to hand it to you, I would be pretty upset between the fact they launched this without letting you know, then told you the light was shipped but got returned to sender.
And now this. Another cluster duck of a deal.

lol, you learn to roll with it after awhile.

Looking forward to your measurements!

Starting work on my video today  Thank you TA for your inspiration and dedication on the project.

Do you know who designed that battery carrier?

Can’t wait to see it!

It was a group effort design. I gave them the base idea and they figured out how to make it work / turned it into a CAD design that could be used. My hand drawn sketches were not up to being manufactured to say the least lol.

Although my idea (and what they were supposed to do for the final light) included a PCB between the stacked cells to both help hold them in place and prevent cells from being inserted backwards.

I hope that made it into the final light?
