Thank you for reminding me that it can be used as power bank. I’m new to flashlight world and decided to have a decent one for emergency light because i’m just realized that i only have 2 cheap and low lumen incandescent light. of course, sc31pro would be wasteful to be on the shelf all the time. But i love how sc31 have muggle mode for my kids and wife to safely use it and have battery indicator light on all the times. It would be a shame if you’re urgently need it but it’s not gonna turned on.
And i had sp31v2 before (decided to sold it because seeing sc31pro are sold at almost the same price), i can see why everybody loves LH315D. Seeing hd20 has floody LH315D, it’s gonna be perfect to support my work as a designer and furniture maker. Throw is no good for inspecting colors & materials. And now my wife would not ask me why i need to bring a flashlight as edc (lives in a big city, so it’s consider weird to bring flashlight daily), because i will use it mainly as a power bank. Sure as power bank, i will check the battery daily, so the absence of always on indicator is not a big deal.
Now i just only need to wait until 11.11 and hope they included 4800mah not 4000mah. And buy a cheap energizer 2AA for emergency
You can disable that indication light 7 short clicks when the light is off (or 3 when it is locked out) toggles through the indication modes (low - high - breathing/heartbeat - off)
I would recommend to NOT producing any shiny, bright-colored versions of HD20, i.e. no flashy green, no blaze orange, no sky blue etc.. It just doesn't work well for a head lamp or tool lamp, in my opinion.
If I had to choose I would go for "Urban Camouflage" or "Desert Camouflage" to use as a matte camo pattern for some of Wurkkos's flashlights, especially for HD20 when attached to a protective vest, a combat helmet or hat.
So far, a few manufacturers have offered these kinds of "anodizing" like Wuben, Olight or Klarus. However, it will for sure increase the price a little bit.
Here's a draft picture of Sofirn's LT1 with camo pattern. Unfortunately, chances are negligible that this version will ever be made.
Thank you raccoon city. But all credits go to TLF member Andreas "oOFOXOo" who is a genius in Adobe Photoshop and who helped me to create some suggestions for the next LT1 colors. ;-)
BTW: Lately, I was lucky to get Resident Evil 1-6 as a box version for a true bargain price on Amazon. I can't wait to finally watch The Final Chapter. :-)
I’m looking forward to having one, spot + flood would be perfect for bike rides and trekking in the mountains without having to use two flashlights at the same, and the autonomy offered by a 21700…
Since Wurkkos did some unexpected last minute changes in HD20's user interface, I took the liberty to do some editing of the manual in order to reflect the actual UI that was implemented into lights of batch #1. The revised parts are highlighted with red text on yellow background. Sorry for any inconveniences you may have encountered by following the UI stated in the original manual.
Just fyi, I measured the HD20 at 87 grams, far less than the 130 grams specified (no battery). I weighed the HD20 and the head strap at 132 grams. More details with pics here: https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/62231/296
That's a confusing spec - if it was taken with the strap then it should be mentioned. Otherwise it seems better to use the weight without the head strap. Everyone thought this light was too heavy because of what was specified. I looked and couldn't find the true weight in any of the threads or reviews.
