The head of the Wurkkos TS30 on turbo starts to get really hot in about forty-five seconds, and continues to get so hot I can’t hold it barehanded. My Astrolux FT02S which puts out significantly more lumens than the TS30, does a much, much better job controlling the heat.
I really like the beam quality of the TS30, the UI, and overall build quality of it, but dang it gets HOT! Maybe mine is defective …?
Probably, GoZebra is Wurkkos‘s new retail partner for Amazon UK. Maybe I can find out more about them. The name is somehow misleading as I would hope they were selling Zebralight flashlights, too. :-))
That bundled 21700 5000mAh shouldn’t be sold with the TS30S, please find something that can allow it to perform to spec. Sofirn sent it to me for review and it’s only slightly better than a Samsung 50E
Thanks for confirming that the 5000mAh 21700 battery included is a Lishen LR2170SD.
I notice that there is a purple-pink wrap slightly visible underneath the Wurkkos rewrap. And it looks like the LR2170SD has a purple-pink wrap based on images on the web.
However, if the max discharge current is 2C or 10Amps, then this doesn’t seem to be the “right” battery for the Wurkkos TS30S, which uses SBT90.2 LED, and isn’t this LED supposed to consume more than 15 or 20+ Amps to get max brightness? Using a “10 Amp” rating cell would then sort of limit the max performance of the TS30S…
No, a 30T will give max, but go for a 40T since it’s also got decent capacity. You’re only gaining approx 150-200 lumens using a 30T which isn’t enough to justify the loss of 1000mAh
