Ok, just keep in mind that shipping from the US is like $13-14. Last time I did this, a member in the EU volunteered to receive a bulk shipment and split it out to reduce shipping costs. Maybe something like that can be arranged again.
I’m pretty sure I’ll do another batch so if anyone is interested and hasn’t spoken up yet, please do so now so I can order the correct amount.
I’m continuing (possibly futile) attempts to at least partially work around the sudden drop from turbo. Tonight’s experience was a bit puzzling. Using a timer and a fully charged Shockli 5500 I clicked “full” turbo and waited. After 1 minute there was no apparent dimming. After 1:50 minutes I thought perhaps there had been slight dimming, though I wasn’t sure. I double clicked and there was full turbo again, but the difference was relatively small.
So, instead of a nearly immediate very noticeable drop there was (to the eye) a barely perceptible dimming after almost 2 minutes run. Why hadn’t the sudden drop occurred? Does using fully charged batteries affect the results? I’m assuming this was a fluke and I was just lucky.
Sorry, brightnorm… all of these were gone a long time ago. I have checked several times about buying more, but the manufacturing costs have increased considerably. To the point that each heatsink kit would probably cost $25 + shipping if not more. And that’s assuming an order quantity of 20 or so. If I could get them made for what I bought them previously, I’d gladly organize another batch.
The current (as of i think 2022) versions all shipped with a brass version of this heatsink, but no thermal paste so you’ll want to add some. There’s not much differemce between the two.
