I have some SW45K I just got, I know there are a lot of 348 clones out there. Are any of them any good aside from the LED? I’d like to get one with a decent driver and swap the LED to make my own BLF version.
I have purchased about 50 of those lights .
Awesome light to give to friends and family .
I always load it up with a lithium primary .
I will buy more if they are like the originals , high CRI and one mode only .
I would also like to get some more 348’s for gifts but only if they have the same quality 219b 4500k LED’s as before.
This is the only change I would reasonably like to see as well, not a must but it would be nice and possibly doable at the price point. Basically just add some o-rings.
Agreed, if not waterproof I would probably buy 1 for sentimental reasons. If made waterproof, I would buy a bunch.
Yes, I learned of this well after the last remaining stock had been sold. I bought a regular Singfire 348 and it had a purplish cool white tint.
it needs a keychain attachment thing, like some kind of side clip with hole
Mine with a lovely Nichia LED went missing, would love another couple, my fav 10440 light

Latest batch of the BLF-348 hat keychain hole with already attached keychain.
Ok, I see the point. I’d buy some if on,y 1 mode like original. But nichia or nice led would be… nice. Could this be a possibility? Making them again?

You mean that 0.5mm hole near the switch? That’s no good…

I may agree to arrange a new GB, but only if they are like the originals , high CRI and one mode only . :sunglasses:
Like someone mentioned, GB (the shop) is not what they used to be back then => If I would run a new GB, it wouldn’t be with GB.
All I can say now is that you got me interested. I’ll explore some options and come back after some time. Don’t hold your breath.
Quick answers to some of the questions:
- Two modes => NO!
- Waterproof => Probably not possible. Would be nice though. (A couple of my 348’s have been through washing machine: Worked fine after drying )
- Very bright => No. The original had a suitable amount of lumens (on AAA) so that it can be given to any non-flashaholic (child, your grandmother)
- Better switch => Probably not. We asked for fwd clicky earlier and it was deemed as “no go”
- Better clip => This would be very nice to have, but impossible with low price. Maybe as an optional addon for a couple of dollars more?

Why is it no good?
Because it’s too small, and rings that thin will bend very easily and you loose the light
I would be interested in a couple if there was another run.
My 348s are my most carried EDC lights, and I like to use them to try out new emitters.
I’ve bought a few (‘Soshine’ branded) from AliExpress but the supply seems to have dried up.
Edit: It looks like they might be available under the ‘Yupard’ brand:

Definitely interested. I missed out on these.
Count me in.
I would buy several units.
As long as the seller is not nealsgadgets.
Simple and dim muggle lights are not my favourites…but I would nevertheless like to get one to see why people like it so much…
I bought a total of 6 of the original blf version if I remember correctly. Only one still works. Five had switches fail within the first year.
I bought something like 4 of ’em but was wearing out one ’cause the threads were hair-thin and soooo easy to strip. Change a cell, and you’re taking the light’s life in your hands. The one I had (others untouched and still in their boxes) was pretty much press-fit as far as the two halves.
As far as the ones in boxes, I lost ’em, then found ’em, then lost ’em again… who knows where they are now. At least I don’t recall for sure. Am only going by that one sample as far as my assessment of the threads.
