As far as I know, the most recent batch of known quality was organized by Killzone Flashlights. They were able to get a batch made with the 219B, but never restocked it after they sold out, maybe a year ago?
If somebody wants to try to get this light available again independent of Gearbest, it seems like reaching out to Killzone would be a good option. On the downside, they are US based and unlikely able to offer similar pricing to what a big foreign discount retailer can, nor get the subsidized international shipping.
I could think of some alternative lights that would be interesting in a 219B variant, but I won’t derail the thread other than to note the popularity of the BLF-348 was its simplicity and the 219B emitter.
The BLF-348 was itself a custom version of the Singfire SF-348. Presumably lights you are referring to are that version, but I don’t know if there might be some lower quality clones in distribution out there, too.
No, just occasional use. In each case I’d try to turn it on and nothing. Freshly charged battery… nothing. Remove the tailcap and put a screwdriver from battery - to tube… light. Obviously switches failed.
Nothing really, I just wouldn’t be interested in it, in this particular light. Most of them are too cold white. I think this little single mode light would be extremely popular with a more neutral or even warm tint.
Lumintops EDC01 with the Osram. God awful. Tool AAA with Osram. God awful.
Had a Wuben, Acebeam, and a Manker that I forget the name of, all small lights, not throwers. They were crap as well.
I like the Osrams in bigger lights with a big reflector or those new cool TIR’s they are using now. Great throwers. Depending on the LED variant.
So I don’t think anything is wrong with them. Should they be in a single mode AAA light? I dunno maybe a few people would like them. Not to offend blind people but, some of them might like it. Most likely not though.
