Received my TI Mini yesterday. Love the TI. Not as impressed with the LED as I was with my brass. My brass has a rosy tint in all modes. The lower two modes of the TI look just a little greenish compared to the brass. The upper two modes of the TI bring out the rosiness. Only really notice it when doing a comparison, but once you know, you are always looking for it. Of course I use it the most in the lower two modes. Still love the TI though!
Maybe the brass was a D200 flux? Yes, that can spoil you for the nice D220 which I prefer much since itās more neutral. Just do not compare them side by side. Take a 219C for that and youāll be happy again .
BTW, in my lights I donāt see a large tint shift over the different levels. Try at the white wall and change distance to have the same lux reflected. Still see a significantly varying rosiness?
Another observation: I once got a replacement pill for my copper mini, I believe they were different fluxes. Itās perfectly ok, but Iād like to know if Iām wrong. Rey, do you know?
I bought my copper mini last year and Iāve mostly used it with 10440, I tried a regular AAA today and it flickers a bunch on the highest mode. Nimh and alkaline both do it. With 10440 all modes are stable. Is something screwy with the boost part of the driver? Iāve taken it all apart and reassembled it making sure everything is snug.
EDIT: I loosened the pill a little, and it seems to not be doing it anymoreā¦.who knows.
Just noticed there is now a polished titanium pineapple mini for sale! Got my order in.
Rey - Is it possible to add to my order a different button for my brass pineapple mini, either in brass if you have it (top choice) or polished titanium? I donāt love the stonewashed (or bead blasted?) titanium button it came with.
